You have done a terrific job on defender's base, so congrats on that. The base seems to have ample room for epic and nail biting action, something i admire in maps like these. Overall the map has a great layout (especially that side path to hammer ;] ) with some really nice aesthetics (the base looks sweet). I really wish I could give you back feedback on game play but for BTB maps I can never manage to get a big enough party. If I ever do I will make sure to update. Look forward to seeing more of your work. -Fluffy Signing Out
This map played very well in 6v6. I enjoyed the initial wraith rush, and attempting to defend our flag from a ghost that decided to go up a narrow ramp (*cough* bogon *cough*). Keep it up, I know transition is hard...
I actually purposefully made sure the light vehicles could "fit" into the base. I never really thought anyone who utilize it though.
Good map, I like the pics. Just thought that the map would be better if you added a bridge over that little creek like in Paradiso and that other remake of Paradiso on Big Team BattleI forgot the name of it...; also I think yo could try adding more cover to make the game a more leveled playing field as the blues seem to have the bigger advantage when on the outside on the natural terrain specifically because of the wraith. Also have you thought of invasion for this map, it looks good for invasion. Good Work!)
Yep, thank you! This map feels a lot like it's just half the size and it doesn't feel complete to me without that bridge. The map should have a little more cover and needs a bridge.
You're right that Blue has a slight advantage on the outside [due to their spawns and their Warthog], but Red has a huge advantage inside the base. This was intentional as I designed it for asymmetric objective games. In addition, Red has been given a Turret looking out over the "outside" to help with the balance. The Wraith is the same distance from both teams [the last screenshot shows the first few seconds of an actual game]. I'll look into spots that might need additional cover. Were you suggesting a few well placed Rocks or would you prefer to see another structure? Although I appreciate your opinion, I doubt I will add a bridge. I actually had a bridge there originally. It served as another Warthog path. The addition of the Wraith [and Wraith dock] plus a few tweaks that assisted in offense's climb into the windows rendered that path a lot less convenient and useless. I'm not saying I'm completely against it... I guess I just don't see a purpose for it to be there. If you do... please enlighten me. I've never considered Invasion... that might be interesting. Thank you for all your feedback!
I like the idea of small walls or rubble. Never tried creating rubble before... might be interesting. Thank you!
* Moved defensive flag to bottom center for easier grabs * Adjusted the direction of several respawn points to clean up confusing spawns * Adjusted the location of several respawn points to avoid spawn killing * Adding several respawn points to combat spawn killing and add variety * Adding deterrent to camping on the tall rock * Added a "bridge" over the Rocket spawn gap * Included a Rendered video Flythrough
another thing, you should update your post such a pictures and weapon spawns and stuff like that try updating it will more likely bring more people to download this map! keep it up
It doesn't look too bad from what I can see, I'll dl and take a look around sometime. Edit: Well I did take a look around, and it looks good is all that I can say. I kinda expected blue team's spawn to be out further though, it is almost right next to red base, but if it works, I don't really have a problem with it. The weapon and vehicle set is good, and driving with the light vehicles is a breeze, though the Wraith can get stuck fairly easily (maybe that's just my problem for constantly trying to jump the rock ramp over that little ravine lol.) Overall, it's a solid small vehicular map and looks good for some one-flag.
Those were my intentions exactly! Easy time for light vehicles; hard time for Wraith. I wanted to keep it sectioned off as much as possible so that it was never too overpowered. I hope the rock ramp doesn't actually break gameplay. I'll test specifically for that next time. Thank you!
Daaang! This looks like an awesome map! I love closed off BTB maps and this one hits the spot like a good grilled cheese sandwich! Forge on!
* Added/moved some respawn points * Adjusted respawn zones so they would not have a negative impact on Team Slayer * Adjusted the Brace platforms in the water for better maneuverability * Added a NEW cave tunnel beside the Ghost spawn to serve as an additional path into the base
