Here is the video Halo Reach Wire Technology/Vibration Trap Finished‏ - YouTube Please watch on youtube for higher quality and just to help me get more views so people can see
I'm not sure it's the first, but I have some suggestions that I think may help disguise the camping stool floor. Well, one suggestion. Have you tried merging the camping stools with a floor until they're barely visible, then setting them to normal? Also, if you need someone to render clips from your file share, hit me up. Just make sure the clip is under 1 minute.
I think the 4x4 flats are thin enough that the physics engine will still update the blocks under it with no need for the capture plates. The crate sticking out of the wall is a bit of a giveaway, but it still works. If you eliminate that alcove in the wall it should also be more likely to kill. note the distance
Interesting idea, would be alright for puzzle maps, I suppose. Wouldn't suit competitive play though, as it would probably annoy people to get trapped in the middle of a game. Im pretty sure you cant phase camping stools, or any other scenery item for that matter, into anything else. Ive only tried doing it once or twice though, so I haven't bothered trying after that. Unless theres a glitch of some kind that allows you to that I dont know about, Im fairly certain that you cant.
You can phase any block into whatever you want. Health packs, camping stools, weapons, explosives, etc. As long as the object you want to phase is also set to phased. Pack's idea is pretty good; I might try it out sometime this week.
well first off the camping stools have to be on normal for them to vibrate and second im going to keep that little space there and test out a mine inside there(in original vibration trap video comments)
Really? Because I've tried setting both objects to phased before and they still wouldn't merge. Ill have to test that out, because Im not 100% sure about that, man.
No movable objects can be phased. You can, however set them to fixed and phase another object into them or use the old interlocking methods in two movable objects set to fixed.
That's what I was trying to say. lol But yeah, they would have to be on normal to vibrate, but the old phasing method might work, unless it just sends the object flying.
