    Seraph is strongly influenced by designs of Quake multilayer maps. It is strongly height variant, has outer ledges on ramps, and 2 sender/receivers. It is built now for testing, only 1v1s have been done, and I'm thinking on having it built for 2v2s because of the size and open center.

    So I had an idea for a this map for a while and wasnt sure where I was going with it. Eventually Eightball and I decided that we should co-forge a map sometime. Well I ended up finishing a map layout, and we forged this interesting convenient/competitive map. We're planning on making a newer type of game setting along with it too. All weapons would be convenient(with 2 DMRs on the map), starting weapon would be Needle Rifle, and a new CPU trait(that isn't decided)

    After making a lot of asymmetrical 1v1 maps, i decided to switch it up and making something different. I was planning on making the map a little unique by having almost all the walls smooth rocks, along with some jump-ups. It is influenced by The Pit, so hopefully it turns out okay.

    Yes, this is inspired by neXn's Lime map, just want to put that out there. Its a round octogon map with, I think, some interesting line of sights down the middle. The map is still being worked on, but I believe we are loosing interest in it. I might go and rebuilt it differently if this is true, so we shall see how it goes. The initial plan for movement was for people to walk on the outside, run through middle, back to outside, into middle, etc.

    I really really like your forging style. The only thing I wish you would do with your maps is not rely completely on coordinate snaps. In my opinion, it makes the maps look a little worse than they could. They all still look amazing though. I've played Anent with you and Kuroda before and I liked it a lot, but Seraph looks amazing.

    I have to agree with Ace, Seraph looks great. Well really they all look great, I'd love to get some games on these. Put them on your fileshare? :3

    Too bad only 1 of thses will ever get released...

    I like the look of all of them. Thane especially. I hope you finish it. And if not, I'll take it.

    Also, I like the border things you have on the Anent pics a looootttt.

    Hit me up for a test session any time, these maps all look beautiful (though the 1v1 map I am not as fond of, the purple effect isnt appealing to me.) I really love your 4v4 and Seraph, though those FX concern me.

    Wow, just wow, that forging style will catch a lot of eyes, I hope the map plays as good as it looks.

    Just so you know Ace, Longshot tends not to use coordinate snap. Anyways, these all look nice. Anent plays great, but I have yet to pay Seraph which I haven't seen since you started forging it. Anyways Broshot, what about Malachor?

    well thank you sir. Well ill being saying this too once i get down to Ducks comment, but i do half and half pretty much. Ill use snapping for stuff like flooring, but when it comes to over lapping objects, or making sure there's no bumps i would do it myself to make it look clean.
    I really thought about putting seraph and anent in my fileshare so everyone can test it out, i was just to lazy when i posted this :p when i get off work today, I will probably do it.
    Nah, i doubt that, but yea, ill send you an invite, as long as i get to play ember/mirage ;)

    Will do. well thats fine with your thoughts with purple. its understanding, not everyone will like it. All i have to say is that its still nice during gameplay, and there isnt a Fx on the 4v4 one, i just edit my photos. I realize that one is pretty bad :/
    Well, i do and dont use snap. depends on what it is. And I can put it up there if you want? I've been wanting to talk to you about it actaully, see if we can work on it some more.

    Yeah dude, post Malachor in here too. I for one used absolutely no coordinate snapping on that map, and you didn't seem to use much either. I can't wait to check some of these other maps out as well.

    Wow, I wish I didn't totally suck at forging. I've only seen Anent from that one time at, like, 2am. The others look absolutely breathtaking as well. I would like to play on these sometime, if it wouldn't be too much of an issue, but I need to figure out where I put my Halo...

    well thanks. I'll try to let you know when one is released if you want.

    A new map is put up. Malachor by Psychoduck and I. Its forged together, is needing tweeks and games. I also put in a link to Anent so you can go test it out yourself. If you do, i would love to know what you think ;) more links will be coming for Seraph soon. (idk when truthfully)

    What's with all these Quake-inspired maps recently? There was only one (Kirus) last time I asked. I've been waiting for people to take inspiration from Quake. Glad it finally took off.

    Anyone planning on getting Nexuiz in the XBLA when it releases? Assuming you've heard of it, that is. If not, check it out. Definitely has to remind you of Quake, as well as Unreal Tournament.

    Great looking maps, Longshot. I had a few problems with Purification, but I'm not sure about these ones. I'll definitely check them out. Add me. I'll do customs with you just about anytime. I haven't been able to get on lately due to the fact that I am now controller-less, but when I finally replace my controller, definitely add me.

    So Eightball and I have been working on Thane, its forged, and now in testing. New pictures of the map are up to see. Thanks everyone for the comments, i will try to get people in to test them.

    Yeah, so I just saw this again and realized you added maps and images, I must say that they all look fantastic (setting aside my concern on the purple FX) and each map feels unique, not same pieces all in new arrangements, which I greatly respect.

    Secondly, the newer images on Annet and Seraph made my jaw drop on how beautiful the rocks are. Would love to Co-Forge with you sometime, although through past experience I dont think I am good at working with others simultaneously, so maybe that isnt such a good idea.

    Which walling are you talking about?

    If it's the braces large with the inclines in the middle and purple braces in them, then that was all me ;)

    Oh and yeah, I'm pretty sure we did implement your idea(s) into the map. Thanks.

    Well someone is busy!

    Purification was a little smaller than I like my maps, but everyone I've showed it to loved the water channel you made using the grid. I'm always looking for new 1v1s though so I'll probably give Anent a download and tell you what I think. Also that quake inspired map looks super sick from that one picture you posted, already liking the jump to the sniper.

    Alright so I had a game on Anent. Quick impressions-

    Obviously it was nicely forged, nothing to complain about in terms of stuff looking weird or sticking out or anything. I liked the CP jump in Purification so it was cool to see that return not once but twice. Weapon set was decent, can't really go wrong with grenade launcher and sniper rifle for 1v1s. I need to make a list of how many maps have that combination actually, I'm pretty sure it's every single one I like. I also thought the teleporters were clever, I'm ashamed to admit I tried to grab the sniper rifle in the teleporter and then got really confused when I found myself somewhere else. It's a good idea though, really helps distinguish the different entrances.

    My niggles would be mainly that we had a sort of assassination conga line going on by the sniper rifle platform due to teleporting up there blind, but I guess that's the risk you take to get that weapon. Also the high hall made from rocks was really cool but barely got used, I think my mate went up there once. Could be because we don't know the layout though, would be interested to hear why that high pathway is there.

    Also there is this really narrow ledge leading off from the sniper rifle platform that looks over the spiker room/man cannon. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, it felt sort of glitchy tbh. I'll show you exacly where if you like.

    I'm not even going to talk about the FX because I'm sure you've heard it before. I personally don't like any of them and I removed it in forge (sorry!) but you're hardly an idiot, I'm sure you knew it would divide opinion when you put the FX in there. I love the idea of a purple map but reach's FX make my eyes bleed :(

    Whoops ended up talking about the FX regardless. Oh well. I'll end by saying I enjoyed the FFA I played on it and hope this helped.
