Here's a big one: leaving the banshee in elite slayer (in this case on Boneyard, but really, anywhere). I know it sounds like a logical thing to do, but in actuality, when you have no DMRs and no human sniper and no scorpion, and are left with nothing but a lucky plasma pistol EMP or a machine gun turret to take the banshee down, you are completely screwed. As illustrated by this game right here. And the other guys were decent players (or at least had some good ranks among them - which is probably how they only lost by 15 and not 30+).

What else have you run into that needs to be addressed?

Oh yeah, good one. I've only played it once and it was strictly a case of "get to high ground and watch the spawn areas." Gross and very static game/map combination.

Pinnacle is the worst map ever any game type in that Tower (just like Berb said) is a Camp fest ***** place. Bungie removed that shitty map.

Defidently agree with SWAT on Pinnacle. It should have never been a map to go into SWAT, or even infection. You can camp the hell out of zombies too.

Pistols in Team Snipers (yes, I am aware of Snipers Pro). If the pistol in Halo 3 was a problem and needed to be taken out of THAT Team Snipers playlist, why did they think it was a good idea to bring it back to Reach after they buff it?

Unfortunately infection has problems almost across the board, though some maps are worse than others. The big tower in Pinnacle is one of the worst offenders. The little ledge on Sword Base is nearly as bad, except instead of all the humans hanging out there, usually it's just one or two people per game that get up there and never leave. There's one spot on The Cage/Uncaged that is similar but not quite as hard to attack. I almost feel like with infection, you need maps that are custom-made for it, or at least you need to go through and put soft kill zones in some of the biggest problem areas.

I agree with everyone about pinnacle and I also think infection itself is a very bad gametype. There is way to much camping and spawn killing.

I don't understand why Bungie didn't try implementing a "Community Infection" playlist with maps meant for the game-type. That would have been sweet.

No, I didn't. I stopped playing infection a long time ago (except once recently when I had a friend over) because I was so annoyed with the plague of camping in that playlist. Truthfully I don't much like the gametype to begin with - it has potential but that promise is seldom realized. Infection on 95% of Bungie maps feels like the afterthought that it is, and custom infection maps/games are occasionally good but more often way too slanted towards the human experience, leading to prolonged cycles of "charge and die! charge and die!" for the zombies.

Anyway, if they did add a soft kill, that's a great change. It should have been done long ago, but that's cool that they did it. They should also add a mancannon on Pinnacle so zombies can fly directly into the top of the big tower - that would make infection on that map much more tolerable.

if they gave the zombies gravity hammers and/or higher jumps the tower on the cage would be less of a problem, i honestly think that gametypes should be changed from map to map for matchmaking, it would fix a lot of problems if they just put some effort into it, i personaly think the roof and underbelly of the middle building is the problem for the map. my other problems i have are snipers on hemorage, spawn /teleport to somewhere, die, respawn rinse and repeat, whenever that map comes up i just put down the controler and move the thumbsticks around with my foot while reading a book.

I whole-heartedly agree about SWAT on Pinnacle, its bullshit the amount of nubs that spawn-camp and make it not worth even trying to play. And SWAT Magnums, that needs to be ****ed off and replaced with SHWATguns.

Also, theres a spot in Countdown in the top of the air-lift shaft that is campable. I had a 2v2 game with a friend and two other dickholes a while ago where they killed both of us, then went and hid. We had no idea where these guys were for the whole game, and after the game ended they had the gall to harass us and call us noobs because we didnt know where they were. Even though they won by hiding like little girls. There needs to be a soft kill placed in this area. Ill post a vid later for those who dont know what Im talking about.

Invasion. Probably the most promising new game type made available... only to fail in Phase 1/Battle Bro respawning. It's really quite sad to see this game ruined by quitting and respawning issues because this game type is extremely fun when you can get a game that is played with full teams on both sides.

IMO the first phases are way too hard and the second phases are way too easy. 90% of the Invasion games I play, no one gets passed the first phase, and if one team does get past, they breeze through the second phase like it wasn't even there.

Inorite? Bungie didn't even put in the map that won forgetacular!

If you think about it, on Boneyard and Spire, the defenders respawn in safe areas that attackers can't really get to, yet attackers can easily be spawn killed on both maps. It's been way too long since I've had a game in which the team I'm attacking with hasn't had someone quit.
