As you can see this map was remade from the Halo CE Mission "343 Guilty Spark". If you dont remember that mission it is where you first encounter The Flood. The first room in fact. I also whipped together a gametype for it. But anyway this is a detailed remake of the room where you have your first fight with the flood after seeing Pvt. Jenkins death on a recording. Then the flood start bashing doors down and running to you...which is usually the part when whoever is playing the mission starts screaming. So when I thought of this idea I knew I couldnt remake this without help so I contaced The Psycho Duck and he Co-Forged this with me, this is also his map. Here is a description of the gametype: Humans: Loadout 1: -Primary Weapon: Assualt Rifle -Secondary Weapon: Magnum -Grenades: 1 frag. Loadout 2: -Primary Weapon: Shotgun -Secondary Weapon: None -Grenades: 1 frag. The Flood (Infected): They have no Loadouts. They spawn with a sword and take a few hits to kill. Alpha Flood: -2 hits to kill humans. -Forced Color: Brown Flood: -3 hits to kill humans. -Forced Color: Zombie (Light green) I can get more detailed if you want... Anyway Here are the pictures: Overview One of the rooms: Different side overview: And the door Master Cheif walks in through in CE: Also I have a video I made to share with you (Watch in 720p) Halo Reach Map: Viral‏ - YouTube Now id love some thoughts and if I did anything wrong with the post please tell me. Now what do you guys think? Id love some comments.
First things first, great job on this map!! This looks very accurate to the actual one from CE. But all the humans get is their loadout weaps or what? Maybe add some round the map hidden? But overall good job I'll give it a download! =)
Trust me it works. Say you are playing a game with 12 people 4 of which are Flood. (Just letting you know you must make zombie count whatever is 1/3rd of the players are.) So 8 humans, and the Alpha flood kill in 2 hits I think ammo isnt a problem, plus if you are last man you get Infinite ammo >
This map was certainly fun to work on. I haven't worked on an infection map before, so this was a new experience and I think it turned out very well. EDIT: Why does the gametype have so many more downloads than the map itslef? I'm confused.
I know it was new for me too, I havent made a infection map in Reach either. It was fun working on it with you too Maybe we can, in the future work on another project like this.
