Hey Challs!! ive made a bran spanken new map!!! if any of you have ever played a little game called Star Wars Battlefront, (best game ever) you may remember a certain map way up in the clouds of Bespin | /|..||..|\ _:CLOUD CITY!!!:_ \----------/ \|-|/ || | even though Orlando Calrissian betrayed 'The Han' in this very place, it was still a rediculously fun map to play on and on of my personal favorites! so, on this very day, i introduce to you that very map!* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOP DOWN VIEW!!i i! View from the square! View down that longass hallway that was always the center of battle on battlefront! ANOTHER PICTURE!!! more view from the fountain! Looking out down the main Promenade! Possibly the MOST important part!!!!!!!!!!! THE CARBON FREEZING CHAMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!iiiiiiii TIME FOR THE SPECS!!!!!!!!!!! SPEC PICTURE!!!!!! FINALLY! As you can see, the main game for this map would be SLAYER and even BTB! however, it also supports: INVASION: start on the top and work your way around the upper decks finish by carrying the core to the freezing chamber! INFECTION: Zombies start in the freezing chamber and try to catch those pesky rebel scum ASSAULT: Carry the bum to the others base and blow them the sh*t up!!!!! CAPTURE THE FLAG: yeah! KING OF THE HILL: Really really fun on this map as you can jump down and assasinate players within the hill !!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, definitely didn't think I'd be seeing this again. It's been a while since I've played Battlefront. The real question is how will this map hold up to the fast paced gameplay of Halo? Upon first glance I have one critique. It may just be the screenshots, but it appears that both shotguns and the sword are all in very close proximity to each other. Weapon placement is always tricky, but in this case I would move the shotguns away from the sword, and closer to to each base. The close proximity of the shotguns could allow someone to pick up all the ammo, making them and unstoppable force at close range. Also what are the spawn times for everything on map?
This map i always hated but anyways from Reach look it is way better by your Remake but let me DL and test it tomorrow cause nobody online right now.
Oh mai Gawd! I never played Battlefront (One at least) but I loved the movies and this certainly is a faithful recreation, not to mention a very good map. Well done! I'm really liking the building design too.
Upon further review of my map i see that you are incredibly right and have come up with a plan to fix this nonsense.... i call it: another picture2 as you can see (large yellow arrows) i have moved the shotguns both closer to the initial spawn bases so it will be hard for anyone to obtain all three at once. Also, they are no longer in a straight line making it 3.4 times harder to get all three in a row. Hopefully this will allow for smoother gameplay. The spawn time for everything on the map is 30 secs except for the snipr and hidden rocket launcher which have been switched to a minute if these respawn times seem innapropriate please let me know and thanks a lot for the feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks interesting and star wars was one of the best shooters; however this is not acruate on most the pathways to a degree. Besides that the map also is open and has few aesthetic features to which makes it hard to tell the map is what it is besides the name, the layout, and maybe the disc shaped structures. I would suggest adding aesthetics and making some areas more acruate to the original by moving some pathways or structures and maybe even adding pathways in some areas. Havent played the map yet so I cant tell the features that need work on the map gameplay wise.
i realize that many parts of this map are not precise but that was only because i literally had no more money and very few structural peices left anyhow. this map is pretty large and thus i used up a lot of money just spacing things correctly you are correct that some pathways are inaccurate but i think you will find that it is an adequate remake anyways. thanks for the input though!
No, I think the map hated you, because it was one of the best maps in the first battlefront, BTW midnight, we need to get started on the "map" and let no one else know about it. Always did love this map, midnight I will probally DL when we get on reach later.
I loved this map and i like this remake. When I tried it out on forge i couldn't believe there was no lag at all, usually with big remakes like this it ruins it even if you're not playing them on customs with other people. Awesome job
If you want to know a tip that could help you on this map and future maps you make then listen to this...DO NOT use pre-made buildings, they can take away from aesthetics and they cost way too much. I would suggest replacing all pre-made buildings with something else. This would added to the map in gameplay, aesthetics, and make it so you have more budget to make the map more like the original or however you want the map if your not remaking a map. Hope this helps you and anyone else that may read this.
I love this map! Whenever I get bored of Reach, I load this up and I'm instantly brought back to a better time. Looks like it was recreated faithfully, too, and it looks great. Is there a special gametype to use, because I'd really like to play this map with classic Battlefront settings.
