Halcyon is my first attempt at creating a 1v1/2v2 map. It is also asymmetric, which is something I don't usually go for. I was inspired to make a smaller 1v1/2v2 map after seeing some of Nexn's creations and previews, which are pretty amazing btw. This map has 3 floors with many pathways throughout. There is a mancannon in the middle of the bottom floor which launches the player up through the rings to the third floor. The bottom is the smallest area and each floor above is a little bit larger and more open. Here are a few pics. I will post a dl link here as soon as I have a playable version finished so you guys can give it a try and give me some feedback. I am always open to constructive criticism, especially since this is my first attempt at creating a map like this.
I'm not big on 1v1 and 2v2 maps but this one looks like a great concept. If you have more than half your budget left, I think it would be awesome if you made a second tower facing the first with bridges in between or make them touching back to back without bridges, and then you could make it a 4v4 map. Of course this is coming from a team slayer minded person, but I think it would be sick. Either way looks like a good one, I especially like the bottom area in the last pic.
The name seems awfully familiar... Anyway, it looks pretty good. The pictures show almost none of the gameplay area, so I cant comment much on that. But the map looks pretty sweet, and the map concept is pretty cool.
Yeah I searched bungie for Halcyon and didn't really find anything but I see now that someone has used that name on FH. I will probably end up changing the name, so now I am taking suggestions. I was thinking about naming it after the orangish glow that the map has.

Heres a couple updated screenshots. I have also uploaded the map to my fileshare. You can download it here. I don't have a custom gametype yet, but go ahead and give it a try for some 1v1's or 2v2 slayer games and let me know what you guys think.
I know this is a major necro, but ehand this looks incredible for a 1v1 map. Especially your updated pics. You've truly given the map an identity. What happened to this??? Why was it never posted? Ehand if you're still around on FH, I would really like to see this completed. The only thing I'm not fond of is the FX and the yellow light that looks as if its placed in the actualy playing area
