Before this gets out of hand. I kinda want to see which one you guys would choose if you could only choose one. Please don't say anything to offend the other title because we are gentlemen or little kids but thats besides the point. Whats your take on these bitter rivals.

Also here's some news I found out now. This may have been out for a while but here we go:

    - Modern Warfare 3 has more pre-orders than Black Ops as of June.
    - Activision has now partnered up with Turtle Beaches to make Call of Duty Headsets.

My take is Call of Duty wins in popularity, but Battlefield 3 wins in true gameplay.

Im with Battlefield all the way.

Please post your take on the 2 games and leave a reason why.

    Poll, please.

Battlefield 3. CoD is stale and more often than not rage inducing. Battlefield 3 has some of the best looking graphics ever, a much more balanced class system, and combat that amounts to more than just aiming down sights and shooting someone's head.

Also, of course MW3 will be more popular. If there is somebody here who thinks BF3 will sell more, then I'm sorry, but they're fooling themselves. If BF3 can make it to 10 million lifetime - half of what CoD does on consoles alone - than that is an extraordinary accomplishment.

    Battlefield 3 is my choice.
And just saying, but two days ago I played MW2 and decided to knife rush, and went 48 and 18. How they ever thought that Tactical Knife, Commando Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Marathon Pro would ever, ever be a good and acceptable combination beats me.

Call of Duty has devolved into a terrible, repetitive franchise. Each year's installment is created solely for the purpose of making more money, rather than releasing something that moves the series or genre forward (as BF3 is bound to do). Battlefield actually promotes tactics and teamplay, while maintaining great shooter gameplay. It also has vehicles and now destructable environments. These things combined make a battlefield game much more dynamic than a Call of Duty one, where the only strategy is to run and gun. Battlefield games also tend to be far more balanced than CoD games, and lack flawed gameplay elements such as killstreaks. Not only is Battlefield's gameplay much better than CoD's in my opinion, it now has far better graphics technology and sound design. With all this, I really see no reason why anyone should buy a CoD game ever again.

Battlefield completely immerses you into a very epic gameplay experience.

I've been playing Bad company 2 nonstop and will probably never touch my CoD disks ever again.

My vote goes to Battlefield 3.

If MW3 can capture what made the previous MW's fun, then I would definitely enjoy it. However, I don't think it will be quite the same without the same developers on board. I've disliked Activision's marketing strategy as well.
I'm going with BF3 after getting into the series with Bad Company and 1943.

  9. Battlefield 3. Look at my profile for god's sake. Anyways, do whatever you think is best because Battlefied 3 is going to offer something new for a change. Modern Warfare 3 is probably (Going) to be very repetitve.

Don't let into the hype. No matter how many fanboys buy this and say it's amazing. Sadly, I already pre-ordered both so I can't really say much. (Damn Hype)

Sadly, due to it's hype, Modern Warfare 3 is going to surpass any sales from most of the other games out there. From the E3 Microsoft Press Conference, I was, not to say the least, not a bit impressed with this game. It looks exactly like Modern Warfare 2.

Neither or both, because I'm not a fanboy. Oh hey, didn't see you there.

Nice to see people judging Modern Warfare's multiplayer negatively and Battlefield's multiplayer positively without seeing enough gameplay footage of either game to make an informed decision.

You guys are fantastic. And objective.

Thats because MW3 doesn`t want show off their multiplayer. They could have at E3 but they showed campaign. BF3 has shown off it campaign early in the developement & showed a teaser of their multiplayer at E3. Which proves that DICE is more confident in their multiplayer then IW & SH.

i dont think its much of a stretch to make the inference that since every CoD has had the exact same multiplayer for the last 4 years that it'll be pretty similar this time around.

Neither MW3 or BF3 are really innovating the FPS genre.

With that being said however, Battlefield 3. It does offer new and or interesting mechanics to the FPS genre like the flashlight stun and the distortion from a LMG barrage. Plus it has vehicles and destructible environments.

I just think it will be a great game all around that will be worth a buy. I wish my PC could run it though.

Im surprised at the fact that there is a crap load of players who love BF.

Call of duty seems like a copy & paste to me. Campaign & Spec Ops in Mw3 show it.
Its on youtube if anyone hasn't seen it.

I have seen the footage for both, and I think it's hard to make a good decision based on the little bit they have shown us. Everything looks great before it actually comes out.

The Tanks in BF3 look pretty amazing from what I saw. That's going to be hard to 1UP.

I am sorry to say though, but I have seen one game that's got them both beat. Multiple levels in the campaign, lots of weapons to choose from, and the tanks and other artillery in the final stages of the game are unreal.

Because of this, I have put in my pre-order for...

    Super Mario 3!

Have you seen the graphics on those tanks?! UNREAL!

Battlefield 3. I feel like it will be a lot like the Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD war. Although HD DVD was actually proven to be better quality than Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray conquered. Battlefield 3 doesn't have nearly as many followers as the Call of Duty franchise. With that said, I can say with confidence that Battlefield will be the better game, hands down.

A poll was put up with various gamers between the ages of 6 and 20, voting for Battlefield and Modern Warfare. The majority of the people that chose MW were under the age of 10. The people that voted for BF were 15/20.

    Battlefield, please.

Its like people go to the Shittier game because that's what they are used to. Fast Food is MW3, and High Class Resturants are BF3. People go to Fast Food because its quicker and cheaper. High Class Resturants have less followers, even though their food is better. Its the same thing as BF3 and MW3. People follow MW3 even though its less quality, but BF3 will be better. This is why everyone is fat.
