Would anyone be willing to explain how to do the invisible object glitch? Or point me toward a tutorial of some sort at least. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.
I know merging a coliseum window with map geometry makes it invisible, but I don't know how to do this with other objects.
I came across this once accidentally. I was using a brace large as a wall. I was merging into into the ground on the Alaska part of FW. After I placed it, it became invisible, but only at certain angles (really ****ed me over, I had gone a long while without saving and ended up not being able to delete the object -_-). My theory is that most of the object must be merged into map geometry with only some of it showing, for it to become invisible. But of course that's just my theory. I'll do some searching and see if I come up with anything Edit: I found these three articles. They all have some pretty good info on it.
It is probably too late for this tip to help you now, but there's a way to delete such "lost" objects. Perhaps it could help the OP, if they mis-place an invisible piece. Let's say that you need to delete an inaccessible Brace, Large. However, there are others on the map, so you can't just use Delete All Of These. Well, here's what you do: 1. Give all other Brace, Larges a gametype label, i.e. INF_SPAWN. 2. Spawn a new Brace, Large. Do not label it. 3. Run "Delete All Of These" on the new Brace, Large. 4. Check object counts. Verify that the inaccessible piece is gone. 5. Remove the labels that you added in Step 1. Basically, it takes advantage of the fact that "Delete All Of These" really functions as "Delete All Of These With The Same Label". It's a very useful trick to know if you plan on messing with invisible objects, since they cannot be selected or moved once placed.
