    Hello all, This is my first attempt at a forged map on Halo: Reach, I went into this map with a clear image of what I wanted, what I wanted was a map with symmetrical bases and buildings and A-symmetrical layout for cover and a mix between the two layouts for weapon placements. It has taken me about a month to build this map fromt he ground up and have been beta testing it the whole time, It has gotten positive reviews so far. Here are some pictures

    This Is the Blue Base, both the blue and red bases have the same layout and weapon placements

    This is the middle of the map, it is offset of the 2 bases, you will find a sword in the middle of the bunker

    This is one of the ramps in one of the corners, both the red and blue base have one but with different weapon spawns on them

    And this is the cave where you will find the Grenade Launcher

    The weapons found on the map are as follows:

    Sniper Rifle x2 120 1 spare
    DMR x7 30 2 spare
    Needle Rifle x2 30 2 spare
    Needler x2 90 2 spare
    Energy Sword x1 180 2 spare
    Grenade Launcher x1 90 2 spare
    Shotgun x1 60 2 spare
    Plasma Launcher x1 120 0 spare
    Plasma Pistol x2 90 1 spare
    Assault Rifle x5 30 2 spare
    Magnum x2 30 2 spare

    Frag Grenade x4 15
    Plasma Grenade x4 15

    Btw: Im sorry for being able to see the spawn points in the pictures, Im not the best at taking Photos yet.

    Constructive criticism is welcomed, it will help me to improve the map in the future.

    it looks like you just through spawns everywhere try putting them in organised places.

    Also about the spawning, to help you out. If you set up a spawn you should test out what it would be if you spawned there. Stand and look where the spawn is pointing. What I do for my maps is I try to create a "picture" out of my spawn points without moving the general spot (tweak the spawn a few degrees, ya know?), so it looks good from the point you start. Its good becuase first impressions to a map is key. AND from where you spawn you have to be able to think in a persons perspective who hasnt played on this map before. With a good portion of the spawns you should be able to tell where you are right away. Helps with gameplay, and its good for the "newbs" of your map. I suggest just doing that. Its one of the many steps you can take to make you map great!

    Alright,, thanks guys, Thats one of the problems thats been reported in the beta tests ive ran with friends is the spawning, to me im not the best at placing respawn points but I will work on it, thanks :)

    The map seems pretty open for the sniper rifles and DMR's.I would make more cover so people dont get spawn killed.The spawning as well needs to be placed better.I'll download this map later and take a look.Like where you are going with this map though :)

    i would take what you have learnt making this map and move on to your next map,

    its a great start but nothing on this map is appealing, you have used all the pieces for what bungie expected you to use them, try flipping and merging some **** together,

    even though halo is not real, for the 15 minutes your kicking someones ass in matchmaking everything on that TV is your world and the player wants to feel like he is playing in a real world (of some sort)

    How did the rocks get there?

    If you love forging, you will get better with every map you make
    and i hope someday you remake this map into something awesome

    Practice makes perfect. This map seems a bit rushed and it looks like boomerdude puked spawns everywhere. The rocks seem very random and don't go with the "feel" of the map. Albeit they do provide a source of cover. After awhile you will take more time and detail with your maps. I hope that wasn't TOO mean, I was just trying to provide some constructive criticism. Welcome to Forgehub.
