Outburst Created by DimmestBread Supported Gametypes: Capture the flag (explosive flag) *You will need to download the gametype explosive flag to play the map. The gametype is not necessary but it makes the game a lot more fun.* b]Map Description[/b] Outburst is a map made on foundry. It is located in the back area that everybody usually blocks off. The only way to each base is through the back tunnel. There are no camping weapons so camping does you no good. Anyways, it's more fun to run out and blow up. The hall has cover, but I wanted it to move when it was hit by a gernade so there are barrels. There is also reasonable cover in each base. This map seems very small but there hasn't been any spawn camping yet. It is also very difficult to get the flag. I havn't seen it been captured before. Now for some pics but I won't let you go without the saying. Watch out for gernades. Oh wait, you can't. The hall is too narrow. Weapons/Gernades/Equipment/Vehicles(Yes there are vehicles) x2 sniper rifle 120 sec respawn 1 spare clip x6 battle rifle 10 sec respawn x2 carbine x2 SMG x2 Brute spiker x2 machine gun turret no respawn x2 needler x2 plasma rifle x4 Spike gernade x6 plasma gernade x4 firebomb gernade x8 frag gernade x2 flare 30 sec respawn x2 bubble shield 30 sec respawn x2 deployable cover 30 sec respawn x2 Mongoose 10 sec respawn Alright i know many of you are wonder why is there a mongoose. It's mostly for fun when someone gets bored and you drive it through the hall. I've actually splattered someone doing it. Also my friends are pretty bad so they love mongooses. Then the last reason is because i have a friend who everytime he gets on a mongoose yells "Monskeet Mowdown" and we all die laughing (We have a system link party 4v4 every saturday). So i put it in there just to here him yell that. i like this idea and the asthetics are pretty good but there is one thing you over looked about camping weapons, in the right hands*cough* mine*cough* a sniper could be more deadly than a shotgun close range
sharpshooter, you do have a nice point. But thats why there are the many gernades, bubble shields, and deployable covers and the no motion tracker. It makes sniping very hard with smoke and flying barrels and when you get up close 99% of the time, you will get stuck. Also, the sniper has one spare clip. But yeah you are right. Its just really hard to hold on to it for long.
Good job with this map! I have played it a few times with my friends and I have enjoyed it. You really did a great job with it.
1st, you forgot the [ in your map description, 2nd, this looks like it must have been challenging to put in casual or competitive, but very good choice putting in casual, i think because of the flame grenades/turrets, this deserves casual, but i also think that this can be a great competitive map. I am also really enticed by the fact of where you located your map in foundry, nobody ever does this, i think that there could even be a few people influenced by this.
very cool, it is not very often that people use that hallway, what are the writh and goust for on the other side of the gate? eye candy?
Yeah, i just put those vehicles out there cause i had extra budget but nothing else to add to the map itself. It's just for show. I think the technical term is set pieces but i tried to make them look like their fighting the humans. not sure if it worked but at least you noticed it. To tex, thanks for your post. although now i feel like an idiot. lol. the reasons i put it in casual is the fire gernades and turrets but also none of my maps get looked at in the competitive section. They get shunted aside by the godly made maps.

really interesting idea, never seen some one use foundry in this way. In my opinion, this could be in competitve maps.
My roflcopter goes soi soi so..... oh hi there! This map looks like you made good use of the back hall and the inset base areas. I am glad to see a functional casual map that isn't just for Infection like many others, but this one rather for casual CTF.... The layout looks solid and simple, and the map looks neat. Nothing crooked from what I can see, nice us of scenery in the hall too.
