On several occasions, I have sat down and forged for many hours straight. Sometimes well into the wee hours of the morning. I therefore pose a simple question: What is the longest span of time you have sat and forged without a significant break? Did anything go numb/die/go unpaid/get evicted/loose weight/get fired/etc.?
The longest I have forged for was about three hours, with friends. It's just gets lonely when ur alone, so the longest I have forged alone was about an hour. It just gets lonely.
Woow and I thought I forged for long periods of time. I usually forge for like 3 hours or less a day. Sometimes not at all. It all depends on if I have any good ideas.
Dude, I was feeling that today. I forged waaaay to long and I hit the pillow last night at 4:30am and had to be up at 6:15 to get ready for work. I have been narcoleptic all day. lol The map I am making seems to have promise though, so I guess I can sleep when I'm dead.
I now spend the time I use for forging writing scripts for machinima. I'd like to be hired by Global Productions, the people behind Falcon Down and some other great machinima, so I want to have a shitload of stuff I can present.
When the forgotten Treasures contest was coming to it's final days I forged from the moment I woke up (about 10am) til I went to sleep (about 1am) for two days straight. Only stopped for quick meals and bathroom breaks.
I usually don't last that long, I have to take a break and come back later and finish. But I think I'll get better with practice.
I my self have gone 3 days straight on halo 3 working on a beaver creak remake on foundry that i actually posted. (kinda), i actually passed out with the controller in hand and when i woke up i went back to forging twice in a row, of course through out this three day span i even got some grub and used the restroom but the controller literally didn't leave my hand for 3 days.... i thought there were people worse then i, but apparently not... although if you see the map you'd understand why it took so long because literally every object was interlocked and halo 3 didn't have the same features as reach does. As for halo reach the new system seems to help out a lot in time consumption plus the living dead matchmaking always keeps my interest so i couldn't give an exact time but this map I'm working on right now has taking a good 6 hours of my time. but that's rare for me on reach. because im working on that $5000 budget contest.
I beat everybody ! anyways once i got reach i played Matchmaking from 1 PM to 1 PM non stop got to Warrant officer Grade 3 I am dedicated to Reach
How much of that time was spent restarting the round and ending/starting the game to get everything lined up right? I've logged a 14 hour session, but we weren't forging so much as dicking around in forge.
16 hours back in Halo 3. Longest time I spent in Reach is 5 hours. Pathetic, I know, but I just couldn't get into it for too long.
