Hey guys, I'm not sure if it's the slim, but I got a new one, the halo reach one to be precise, and I have 2 problems:

    1) The wifi wont work despite wifi working on ipod touch and this computer that is across the house.

    2) If I'm not connected to 1 or more people, my live will disconnect 10-20 mins later and in 1 very bad case, less than that. This problem wont allow me to connect to XBL because with the new update, I have to get it to access XBL. When I download the update, it eventually stops and says connection was lost despite the 4 green lights and the internet on my computer working fine. One physical difference I notice whenever this disconnect occurs is a yellow light under the 4 green lights stop flashing and just stays lit instead of it flashing (which it normally does.)

If I don't solve problem 2, I wont be able to get on XBL at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having this? It's only like this on some evenings though witch i find odd.

Turning your router on and off worked for me, but it's only happing on the reach Xbox? My dads normal 360 slim stays online fine :|

Even though it says Wireless, try to use a wired connection. Wired is much more stable and you won't just randomly pop in and out on connection strength.

It sounds to me like a network adapter issue. Personally, I'd contact xbox customer support and see what they say.

The only other thing i see as a possibility is the range from the router. If it's on the fringe area, you're connection could be severed randomly. Try moving the xbox to another location in the house and see if it does the same thing.

Don't take my word as expert advice, but if moving it doesn't work, I'd be sure to contact customer support. They may have other suggestions that could help.

My slim has the same issues, It seems likely that it would be relativity of the distance between the Xbox and the Router, because I am upstairs while the router is downstairs.
