This map started out with just the large antennae, and I just built the rest of the map around that. It is pretty simple and fairly large and all of the weapons are Covenant. This is the second completely original map I have made, so please don't be too critical. Thanks for viewing! This is the central platform above the Ghost, where two FRG's are located. This map has two main levels: one for vehicular dominance and the other for hiding. I know it's not the prettiest map, but I am working on a variation of this map that will be more polished. Here's a good overview of the map. That is all for now. I will post the polished map when I am satisfied with it, but I just wanted to get this out and see what people might say/suggest to make it better. Once again, thanks for viewing!
Covenant-themed maps strike a sweet spot for me, because most people generally don't use Covenant weapons otherwise. I like your map's circular layout. It reminds me slightly of Asylum. The Ghost is an interesting addition, however I feel that it would be extremely overwhelmed by the number of anti-vehicle weapons on the map - plasma pistols, plasma grenades, and... ...two FRGs? One would be controversial in and of itself. The map has a somewhat smaller scale, and I don't see any way to balance one FRG, let alone two. That said, FRGs are heck of a lot of fun. If you're going for a more competitive approach, I would highly recommend replacing them with a single Concussion Rifle at the center. It's also a projectile weapon that serves a good anti-vehicle role, and would work better with the size of the map you have. Otherwise, FRGs are perfectly insane, good fun. I would also consider moving the Ghost somewhere off to the side. It seems a little odd to have the Ghost, and its counter-weapon spawn in the same spot. Then I would probably move FRG/Concussion Rifle down onto the dish. One way to balance out power weapons is to place them on lower ground. All in all, I like the layout, and there's definitely sufficient cover for infantry battles. Good work for only your second map.
I would have to agree with him myself. the map is very close-quarters. One well placed frag can give someone an overkill with ease. I like that. You may have actually found a way to make people utilize the frag grenade. As for the ghost, well it seems pointless. It is a small area with little vehicular movement. Aside from that, the map is great and I would recommend this map tho plenty of people. GREAT JOB!!!!!
It's okay, but I don't find the Ghost at all fitting. I also wouldn't say that it is wise to place only Covenant weapons regardless of the theme.

Thanks once again [br][/br]Edited by merge: Originally I had planned for this to be strictly a CQB-style map, with an energy sword in the centre, which is what the original version of this map was (I called it Relic, which I changed after remembering the Halo 2 map of the same name). I am still working on the original version, which is much more polished than this map and designed more for close-quarters than Inheritance is.
