    Hello... and welcome to...
    Crystal Pier

    Crystal Pier started out with somewhat of a longshore look and feel. I began to add on to it, and it began to remind me of the real Docks in Crystal Pier in North Carolina, Hence the name.
    The map is actually bigger then it looks. It could probably even handle 8v8, but i havent tried it. The map is primarily suited for 4v4. I didnt get to much testing done over xbox live, but i did occasionally test it 4 way splitscreen with my friends, and they all seemed to enjoy it alot. As usual, i like to focus on asymmetrical maps, because i think they are alot cooler, and so much more fun.

    This map also features a jump pad which takes you strait to the FRG on the blue side.

    Weapons-
    2 Assault Rifles - 50 secs - 2 spare clips
    2 Dmrs - 45 secs - 1 spare clip
    1 Rocket Launcher - 180 secs - 0 Spare clips
    1 Fuel Rod Gun - 180 secs- 0 spare clips
    1 Focus Rifle - 180 secs
    4 Frags
    4 Stickies
    1 Overshield - 180 secs

    Blue side gets the FRG and Focus Rifle, and the red side gets the overshield and Rockets. Very even :)
    Power weapons are not the slightest problem on this map, they actually make it really fun.
    Please leave any Comments/Suggestions/Things

    The over-hang gives an amusing feel to the map. I'd bet games run silky smooth on this one. For the openness of the map, I think their are too many power weapons. If you added some cover to the corridors of the map, it'd be somewhat acceptable. Besides that, clean map, that I assume, plays very well.

    Hay man! This is looking awesome, nice use of different pieces. The railings made from cover look great and unusual to see so many used, giving a nice unique look. All the forging looks really clean and everything feels perfectly placed. Nice aesthetic use of water too. Also above quote stating too many weapons. I don't agree, there are no spare clips and only a couple of power weapons and all on 3 min respawn. Looking forward to getting some customs on this later. Great job :)

    Thanks for the feedback! Gameplay is pretty smooth, and i meant to make the map open, but the map is not actually as open as it looks. As timmy stated power weapons have 0 clips every 3 minutes, so not really a problem at all. Thank you for the comment, i appreciate every single one. :)

    Thanks timmy! I did want to avoid the usual railings, so i thought covers would look the best. This is also my first posted map where i use the actual water on forgeworld, so it was a step in a different direction... sure customs would be great and thanks for the feedback. :)

    Indeed, a nice use of forge pieces and that purple light really sets the tone for the map. The jump pad looks awesome and is a nice special feature on the map too. I don't have any complaints right now. I only have one question. Did you get any testing on this? If so, next time hit me up, I would really like to help test your maps. Great work man.

    Oh and I like that you put the covy barricades in the walls, it really adds a nice aesthetic touch.

    Thanks eightball glad you like it. I didnt get a whole lot of testing in, but i tested almost all the gametypes with 4 way splitscreen with my friends and 2 others over Xbl. After i finish my new map, ill definitley hit u up for testing. Ya ive seen the covy barricades placed in walls before and i thought it looked so cool, so i just had to add them in lol.

    cool man, I have to say this map impressed me, and plays great, the outer barrier out of inclines works well and a cheap alternative to the expensive kind, the lights give nice effect anf haven't lowered frame rate at all. And the super jump is cleaver, fun and something new. Great job.

    Cool looking map, it's really impressive. Although, by looking at it i would like to see more weapons on it! Like normal weapons and not power weapons (only 2 DMRs and ARs seems cheap). Maybe the Needle guns and such.

    Also i first thougth there were to little cover but it seems okay, i give a DL!

    Thanks timmy, im glad you got to test it. I always hear people talking about this "jump pad" and i havent seen it incorporated into a map before, so i did myself. Thanks for the feedback :)


    Well i did add 2 ars and dmrs which spawn fairly quickly, with a good amount of ammo. I didnt want to overload the map with to many weapons so i kept it sorta simple i guess. Plus most people start with ars and dmrs, so i didnt think alot were needed. Ya the map is a bit open, but thats what i wanted. i didnt want it to look cluttered. thanks, I appreciate all the feedback!

    Hey good to see this up, you made a really good job of this, I like the fact that you mixed a decent layout with aesthetics, I always feel I need both to really enjoy a map, I also like the fact the top isn't so much of a power position on this map, it keeps thing moving around, have you managed to have a test play with Jetpackers on it yet?
