CITADEL Hello all welcome to my latest map. This is a fairly accurate remake of the the Halo 3 map Citadel. All area have been measured, all structures have been made to look as simmilar as the original. All gametypes, spawning, weapon placement, times and clip count to give an all round accurate remake. Gametypes are all placed in same locations with same objective sizes and spawn sequence. weapons: 2 sniper (180's +1 clip) 2 x shotgun (180's +1 clip) 2 x plasma pistol (60's) 2 x needler (60's +1 clip) 2 x concussion rifle (60's +1clip) - brute shot 4 x assault rifle - smg (10's +2 clip) 4 x needler rifle (10's +2 clip) 6 x dmr (10's +2 clip) 1 x rocket (120's 0 clip) 4 Health stations added. 1 on sniper spawn for each team and 1 in top base on back wall. 45 s respawn 2 x overshields (180's) Big thanks to dt192 who has been a great help along the way, keeping this as accurate as possible. Daaaammmmmmmnnnn, Timmy did it again!!!! Completed and tested so quickly after Cold Storage too. Looks great man, I wish I could have help test with you, I've been so busy at home with my daughter and work. Definate DL and LIKE from me man, keep it up!!
Yay! its finally up. Great map timmy, and definetly the most accurate i have seen yet. I had a blast play testing, because ive always loved citadel, and it was so accurate it almost felt the same. the colors are great and i love how you built it in the colliseum. Another epic remake, and i hope your still making more! (Perhaps an epitaph remake?)
This does look quite nice. The visual style is definitely different from the original map, but that's not a bad thing as it still looks damn good. REALLY damn good. I like the amount of color in the map as well. Maybe now i can finally get that shotgun spree on Citadel that I could never get in Halo 3... Good job man, I look forward to playing this sometime.
Thanks all for comments. I am happy with how this turned out. I did add lights, but an instant drop in framerate forced removal. A shame but for the best. Testing has been great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed. I have already started a new version too. This has been made in the 'bubble' 75% complete....although this version has a nicer roof and side aesthetics.

Thanks, a lot has gone into the remake. Trips to halo 3 citadel to measure distances heights, and basically transporting data over. Dt192 got me a good map from bungie, and I drew several versions, with areas measured. Handy for future remakes.
This was one of my favourite FFA maps on halo3, and playing this version 1v1 was like having the H3 disc in my 360. As close as you can get without playing halo3 I would say. GUD WERK!!!
Beautiful absolutely beautiful timmy, and one of the maps I had intended to remake after I finish my colossus remake. But you did a excellent job bringing over so much of the design to reach, one of my favorite parts is simply the middle rocket platform you have given it a look no other remake has and made it look very natural and similiar to the original. I always love your maps and im glad you have gotten into doing remakes as it seems you are very good at bringing over elements from different games. Measurement differences are sometimes unavoidable but im glad you attempted to keep them accurate good job timmy definately earned yourself a download.
When will the remakes END ALREADY? Having said that, this looks like the best remake of this map yet. You always do a nice job using forge pieces in ways people never think of. Eh, the lights almost always cause FRL. I'm very happy to read that you took them out as you were not about to sacrifice gameplay for looks. If I were you I'd end this horrid chain of remakes right now. You have a lot of talent, now let's see what other kind of maps you can come up with. Goodluck on future projects my friend. Ummm well I would like to make ghost town and epitaph. I have a few unreleased maps ready for play also, just never got around to publishing. I like going into a forge with a plan and having guide lines to go around has made maps easier to forge I guess.... I would like to make a map using different aspects of maps made in the near future. I have recently chosen the remake aspect of forging and enjoyed using tried and tested maps. Also I have remade this map outside to remove shadow off objects and introduce a glass side to try to capture feelse of map further .
One more giant step toward "Architect" Nice job on the details. so im guessing you're releasing the 2 versions of the map? or just the one without the lights? the gameplay is very pleasing while testing this and king of the hill worked out surprisingly well. I only had 1 problem though. the concusion rifle was a bit overused and it got a little annoying. i know it replaces the bruteshot (which i miss), but i recomend a spiker or something (unless its already been placed) Great job overall and i look toward what you have in store next time
Thanks you, yeah I really wanted to release lights version... really looks good, but the fr would have just caused lots of framerate comments. I have remade an outdoor version of this map that I may add lights to... I am also concidering remaking in tempest. I have practically memorised lay out and it should only take a day when I have the time. I agree concussion rifle is overpowered and I concidered a drop in clip count or/and increasing spawn times. It is the replacent of brute shot that brutes use. There are already 2 spikers and 2 plasma blasters on map, so there wouldn't be another suitable changeover weapon as grenade launcher is too powerful. Thanks
Good job on this map timmypanic. I know when I did my Citadel I had trouble figuring out what to do with the ceiling, it was a good idea to use the Colosseum ceiling rather than the floor. The only things that stood out to me was the ov halls seamed too narrow and some of the jumps were not quite right. Also the frame-rate was a bit of an issue but not enough to interfere with the game. Overall very nice work and I am glad to see a worthy competitor to my version of Citadel(Impervious).
Thank you, Yeah I was happy with the use of ceiling, I also intended to make a glass floor with a room below as original, but the framerate dropped so that was scrapped. It is a difficult one to remake and be noticed as there are already a number of remakes of citadel. I had played and liked your versions since release too. Thank you.
