    Alrighty, This is my first time post of a Halo Reach map. I've made a few maps but this is the only one I've worked up the energy to post.

    So starting off I made this map mainly for Team Slayer but it seems like its good for many of the other gametypes as well. I'm figuring that 2v2 would be the best to play. I've been able to test it a number of times but not as much as I'd like so any feed back you guys might have for me will be appreciated, good or bad.

    I like how you really played off the "purple" theme; it matches your title and gives the map a sort of split covenant/forerunner feel to it. Not sure how it plays as it's inherently hard to see map layouts on interior maps, so I'll have to download it and see. Overall, looks like an excellent first post.

    Only potential problem, and since I haven't tested it yet I don't know, is that it seems like there might be some slight framerate issues with all the glass and purple light, and I don't know about the respawn times or ammunition of the power weapons, but 4 power weapons on a map that works best for 2v2 seems to be a tad bit much. Again I'll have to play it and see if these really are issues.

    Thanks for your post.

    As it concerns framerate issues, I havn't had any while testing the map.. So hopehopefully that will not be a problem.

    About the weapons. I too have wondered if the power weapons were a bit much. Everytime I played it didn't seem like any of them were overpowering.. I am still playing with the idea of removing a couple or just making them not spawn at the start of a game. Not sure though... I would like opinions.

    Spawn time and ammo amounts are as follows:

    Concussion Rifle 3mins and 12 shots
    Sniper Rifle 3mins and 8 shots
    Sword 2 mins and normal
    Shotgun 2 mins 12 shots

    You might want to decrease the use of sword and shotgun a bit. If it were my map, and it's not, I would make sword 3 minute respawn and have shotgun at two minute respawn with only 1 extra clip, although the fact that you have a concussion rifle might help to balance those weapons as it can push people away.
    I think a small change like that will help to balance the map overall and not allow anyone to camp with a sword or shotgun nearly as much.

    This is all just my personal opinion and you don't have to change anything if you disagree.

    EDIT: 12 shots = 1 extra clip, I was thinking it meant 12 extra shots, my bad. In that case, only thing I'd change is the sword's respawn time.

    I appreciate your input and I'm going to change the spawn time on the sword to see how it plays.

    As a side note I need some more people on my friends list who like to test maps because I do not have many. I have a few other maps that I'd like to test with more people. So if anyone can help let me know. I'll help test out maps as well of course.
