Which Halo game is your favorite and why? Excluding Halo Wars. Don't judge solely on graphics. My favorite Halo game is Halo 2. I like it because it has an interesting storyline, and was the first to feature dual-wielding. It also had great multiplayer maps.
If this was all about the maps I'd say Halo 2, but overall... I think 3 had the best ride; great maps, gameplay was fantastic and some cool things came out it e.g. our lovely Hub here.
Between Halo 2 and 3 for me. I voted for 3 based off the single fact that I had dialup during Halo 2's lifespan, so I didn't get much experience in it's multiplayer.
Ah poop, accidentally voted Halo 2, I wanted to put ODST and am probably the only one on the planet who would... I just loved the atmosphere it pulled off, the story was meh, but the feel it gave when I played it was amazing. Reach had similar feel during the urban parts of it, but not the same. I just loved the whole, its night and you gotta find your way through this city that got f***ed up, AND you have to do that while the enemy is twiddling their thumbs wandering the streets. But, Halo 2 is definitely a close second just because of the beastly multiplayer maps. In fact, Halo 2 was the first shooter I played. Ever.
I voted H3 because I spent about 3 years playing the multiplayer every day. CE would have been my second choice... The other three games are meh for me.
A tie between Halo 2 and ODST. I thought Halo 2 had a great storyline and gameplay, but ODST had the best level designs and a very good storyline, and ODST also had ODSTs as playable characters...
Halo 2. I probably had more time in Halo 3 but that was because of Forge, attempts to get near impossible achievements and trying to rank up without then falling down 2 levels in Lone Wolves. Halo 2 was far more enjoyable.
I voted ODST. I like Reach and have played a lot of it, mainly due to Forge and MM. Halo 3 was cool; good single player, but I didnt play its multiplayer online until the very end of its lifespan, pretty much just before I got Reach. Halo 2, I never played online, but I still liked the story and LANing with my mates. And CE was the beast that started it all, and holds itself in very high regard in my mind. But the reason I voted ODST is because its Halo, but its a different side of the story, and its completely different in terms of structure than any other Halo game (excluding HW), and I thought the story progression device was really cool. Plus, without ODST, we wouldnt have Firefight, so you gotta love it for that.
Out of all of them, I'd have to say Halo: CE. Halo 2 was great and all, and had great multiplayer maps, along with a fantastic story line. Halo 3 had a somewhat difficult story line while also good, and had a good online experience. ODST, simply just bored me half to death while you rarely get into battle, and when you do, it's very small amounts of enemies, besides the last one you get into, and when you're driving down that bridge, and I can't recall any of the levels on it. Halo: Reach, was an amazing game, and still is to this day, at least in my opinion, especially it's wonderful forge. But Halo: CE, it has always caught my attention when talking about all of the Halo games. It had an amazing story line, and the greatest multiplayer. And I especially loved killing the Marines on the first level. Halo: CE, is the best. IMO.
I vote CE because it gave me classic Bungie vibes. It had a very good storyline and i likex the gameplay the best for some odd reason. The levels weren't as straightforward as halo 3 and reach. It took exploring to finish the levels like Marathon and Pathways into Darkness. Keepin it classic bro.
