Confinement

    Hello fellow forger(s)! Guessing as to why you are here, you probably have some intrest in my map. Or you clicked on the wrong one. Anyway, after you look through and download (hopefully) my map, I hope you will have as much fun playing on it as I had building it. Here we go:

    Info:

    My goal for Confinement were:

    1. Make it playable.
    2. Make a large symetrical map that was easy to learn.
    3. Have many different ways to get to where you were going.
    4. Make it nice to look at.

    Overall, I believe that I achieved this. It was originally going to be for the Forgetacular contest(CTF), but I didn't think it was ready. Since that date it has gone through quite a lot of edits.

    Weapons:

    Dmr x2
    Needle rifle x2
    Needler x2
    Plasma pistol x1
    Plasma repeater x2
    Sniper x2
    Sword x1
    Rocket Launcher x1
    Plasma Grenades x2
    Turret x1

    Layout:

    Confinement has a two-layered base(red and blue) on each side where the teams spawn. I find that CTF works well for the map due to how many ways you can get into the opposing teams base. There is also a purple and orange base in the middle section of the map that provides cover and power weapons for players making the trek from one base to the other. The purple base has a turret on top that can be used to mow-down players that attempt to take the short way to their base. In order to counter this turret I created orange base to be another base for cover and a way to sneak up behind the turret thanks to the teleporter that is conveniently located behind it. The glass water tunnel, which contains the rocket launcher, is also another way to travel between purple and orange base. Lastly two sniper towers that lead onto the purple base roof also provide another path to return to base with the flag without the fear of being killed by the turret.

    Additional Info:

    Due to this being my first ever map I have posted to the general public. Any help regarding spawn points, weapon placement, weapon spawn times and, even the how I can fix the map would be greatly appreciated!

    I liked how part of it is built in a cave, kinda reminds me of James Bonds 007 game for N64.
