Why is there an option to change the shape of a bridge to a cylinder or box? I tried it and couldn't see any tangible thing happen.

Is this an error, or is that shape function actually usable?

The only thing shapes can be used for is objectives.

If you want an object to be the goal in haloball, the shape would function, assuming you set it up correctly.

Think of it like this, everything and anything can be a goal, the hill markers just aren't visible in custom games.

    This.

For example, let's say that you want to put a Territory at the center of bridge, but you don't want to waste objects. Give the bridge the TERR_OBJ label and set its shape.

The shape is now a Territory.

It is the VOLUME of the object, not the object itself. If it is set to NONE, you won't see anything. If RADIUS, you will see a cylinder. If BOX, you will see a rectangular region. And it has to be an objective or territory or some type of goal that is activated during game play (or it's volume won't be visible). Not sure if that part was clear or not.
