Original post: HERE __________________________________________________ In the next DLC there will be Scarab(s) on one of the maps, take a look at this, the last weekly update: Question- Azathoth117 asks: Are the orange worm-type thingies in the back of the Scarab the same things as the worms in Hunters, or is it just superficial resemblance? Answer- The resemblance is not just superficial. A future DLC map might expand upon that mystery. If you don't think that is hard evidence then look at this. Question- Crzymnky069 asks: Will any of the new maps in the future have a vehicle specific to it? Kind of like the Elephant on Sandtrap. Answer- There will be vehicle variations, both aesthetic and functional, specific to certain maps in DLC, but we currently don’t have any plans to introduce a brand new vehicle to the Halo 3 sandbox. Now I know what your thinking: currently don’t have any plans to introduce a brand new vehicle to the Halo 3 sandbox but that only means that no new veichles in forge. These next ones were from the 1/18/08 update. I’ll talk about the biggest one [map] first. And it’s HUGE. The map leads to the kind of long, drawn out megabattles that hearken back to the days of the original Halo and the crucial to and fro of an epic LAN party. Its inclusion of a surprising vehicle or two may make it even more interesting than it already sounds. Now you have to belive me.
Hey nemi this doesn't really concern this forum, but what happens when your bar fills all the way up? arent you at the highest rank
PM me next time, this makes it off topic. But when it fills up, it stays like that until you reach a new rank. Go to the thread Ivory made, I made a nice chart for you all to enjoy.
He gets perma banned for having that many posts and not having a coloured name. No, there's a higher rank than UNSC Spartan, and when he hits the max rank, his post count will just keep going up, but he will have a permanently full bar, like the real coloured members that people actually care about.
=D I'm special. Anyways, I think if Scarabs were in the game, they'd mess it up way to much. I think a newer Covenant troop vehicle would be better.
back on subject if they do make scarabs like elephants do you think they will be destructible? EDIT: 666 post omg this is now the devil thread ekk!
I think the comment about "a future DLC map explaining the resemblance of the orange things" Might just be a DLC map based on the Hunters homeworld, or the home for the Hunter colonies before they are assigned to armor, who knows you may be onto something, after all the scarbs in Halo 3 didn't really have "drivers" per se, maybe the Hunter colonies where controlling it ....
scarabs would be awsome in dlc, I hope they put the ability to a: spawn them b: make at LEAST two b/c this would make for awsome multi/1 flag games
i highly doubt they will be drivable and i dont get what the big deal is, its not like bungie would let us controll that huge turret, its like an automatic ass-whooping machine sorry for my language but it is, first player to get in it only has the beat the other scarabs gun down then they can tee off on the rest of the team
I’ll talk about the biggest one [map] first. And it’s HUGE. The map leads to the kind of long, drawn out megabattles that hearken back to the days of the original Halo and the crucial to and fro of an epic LAN party. No. No. No. Stick with Campaign Scarabs. Putting them in matchmaking would screw it up. Plus, I don't think they're gonna put scarabs any soon. If they ever do, it wont probably be in the next one. Think about it sales strategically-wise.
Those questions were posted in a Weekly Update a very long time ago. I highly doubt that Bungie will be dumb enough to put scarabs in MM. It would not work well at all, and you would need a gigantic map which would likely experience all sorts of lag. I think that Ty has stated the most logical explaination about the answer Bungie gave about the orange worm-like part of the Hunter. Its doubtful that Bungie will decide to put such a killing machine in Halo MM. They would have to power it down considerably to have it on a future map.
"The Scarabs are coming! The Scarabs are coming!...wait, why are they smaller?" It's a likely situation if they actually do bring at least a form of the Scarab.
