Hey all, Its zatherla. As some of you know me from my forgeworld remake. Although it has almost nothing to do with the title that is above. Shortly after I remade forgeworld on the tiny-scale structure, spawning a whole set of my "mini-series" maps, including small town. I came to realize that forgeworld is a really good map. And I decided to do it on other places. Maybe remake it on far cry, or what is another game where you can build whatever you want, millions of people play it, and are familiar with it.... the game just popped into my head like a balloon. and that idea grew until i had to deflate all of the air in that balloon out of me ear hole. I began to search for servers every where on minecraft, a freebuild server with infinite items, and alot of free space. After nearly 10+ hours of surfing the interblogz. i came across a server that caught my eye, not even 100 people registered on the server, loads of freespace, and infinite items.. (nutnnut.co.cc) I began to build on the 20th of june 2011. I created this thread to show all of you my progress and maybe some help from you. Once I started building I soon decided I should get some measurements. Mochasun and I went into forgeworld looking for items. we knew in minecraft one block was 1/2 of the humans height. so we spend a while looking for an item that was the same height as that. We came up with the side of a railing short. we places all the measurements everywhere in the colliseum, like it was filled with railing shorts... all 100 of them. and wrote all of them down on a piece of paper. although mochasun hasn't helped me with this project so far due to some nub game called Crysis2 that got him addicted.... Without further ado here and the pics.... This was after the first day of making it. I got up the outline of the colliseum door and some of the glass part along with the textures in the walls. I got up more of the ceiling, and started textures in the floors. I will add more when I finish more. Is this in the correct thread? :S
Wow man I cant believe what Im seeing. Your so great adding those little details that so many people miss that what makes you unique. i cant wait to see the finished project, after some time of course. You should really take time to make this absolutely perfect.
i wanted to do this, but i discovered my computer is to slow to even run classic mode anyhow good luuuck!!
And once you finish you can make a map in it! Seriously. do it. Second serious comment. The creation looks spot on (so far) and you know we all expect greatness, so if its less than that I'll be forced to feed you to the trolls.
Looks pretty good so far, not that I know anything about minecraft. The red text burns my eyes, though.
OMG new Forge World? Oh wait, this is Minecraft. Darn, I was so convinced this was a new forge world. I guess I was just mislead by the fact that this should've been in the minecraft discussion thread, seeing as it in no way pertains to forging. Feel free to post these pictures in the Minecraft discussion thread. LOCKED.
