Introducing Perdition v2.5, a faithful 1:1 remake of Halo 3's "The Pit". The map was recreated by DWEIGHT and myself, HCTF Reaper. It supports all Classic Variants of Assault, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Oddball, Slayer, and Territories. We have put painstaking detail into not only our overall design, but into each jump, each line of sight, the placement of artillery and objectives (all original coordinates), as well as the limitation of merges, etc. I have tested the map with full parties and it plays well. Version 2.2 has improved frame rate compared to the previous version 1.5. Also notice we used the natural boundary so jet packs will not break the map. We appreciate any feedback and thanks for playing!
    Here's some video and pics.

05/16/2011-Updated to 2.5 a few minor fixes including sword base roof

Notice the jumps and game play illustrated in the video:

Enjoy, I will be updating the map on Monday so any feedback will be considered and much appreciated.

Very interesting, i like the jumps which set this apart from most other pit remakes. Nice job, will definately download and play with my friends.

This is very good, but there is one jump up I have a problem with. The bottom to top snipe bridge jump up (the area between the back objective and the sniper ramp) looks a little to easier. That jump up took a long time to master and even with practice it was hard to do consistently. I can't believe you actully used that little LoS while on sniper ramp to shot the guy on plat, never even noticed it, good job. I also love the natural boundary idea, keep up the great remakes.

Thanks, the jump to plat certainly did take a long time to master. I think I just got lucky hitting it so nicely in the video. Also the video was taken on v1.5 and I did raise it a hair for 2.2 so it should be nearly impossible like it was in Halo 3. Thanks again for the input guys and please let me know if you feel it is still to easy.

I've had a few testplays on this now and i must say it's great, i know how much attention to detail in sizing, trick jumps, spawns, objecteives, weapons, making sure it's lag free etc was put in, good to see people taking the time and making the effort to get things right keep up the good work, I look forward to Foundry and Lockout :)

Thanks, it is good to hear that coming from someone who has come out with such detailed remakes himself. Yes, Foundry and Blackout are in their finals stages and should be finished real soon. Foundry is in collaboration with Swiiiiiiift, and Blackout will be based more on halo 3's and not Halo 2's Lockout. I am excited to see the finally cut of Longshore.
