    *v2 for the map is ready for download. Spawn System improved. Plasma Rifles and Grenade Launcher have been removed. Another Sniper is on the map, but both of them have zero extra clips. Another spiker is on the map, and they are both on each side of the maps. Needle Rifle has been moved to Top lift, located at the old spiker.*

    This is a small asymmetrical map strongly built for 1v1, but can also play 2v2. This is actually the first asymmetrical map that I have designed and forged, and I think it turned out really well. I was messing around in forge one day, and thought of this aesthetic piece that I like to call “walk-able water”. I thought it would be something really unique to have within a map, since I have never seen anyone try something like this. One day I get the pen and paper, and draw out some random sections based around that aesthetic piece. With this, Purification was slowly forming. With its first structure in forge, I get a couple games, and Erupt suggest expanding out even more. I truly thank him for this idea because it definitely wouldn’t be the same without the platform that holds needle rifle. Out of all the testing, a key thing to do is watch the timer, know when the power weapons and custom spawns, and hunt down your enemy. When wondering around the map, be with caution. There are water death pits that can change the outcome of the game. The two power weapons, two snipers on both sides, are located at each end of the map on a platform that acts as a risk reward. You risk yourself by taking your time to jump over water, onto a small platform, but you get an upper hand because you now hold a better weapon. The custom power up will give you an extra shield, and it respawns 90 seconds after pick up, so it comes into play often. It is also located over a death pit to act as a risk reward. In order to have the customs effect, you cannot have your shields low or recharging. It will do nothing, and you will burn it. If shot at while it is charging up, it will stop where it’s at, and you won’t gain it until it respawns again. So when picking it up, know that you’re safe from fire.

    For the weapons, they’re evenly spaced, and in some games, they’re all used at least once. Each one can hold a key to killing your enemy, depending on how you play. Spiker, Plasma Pistol, and Plasma Rifles are great for lowering shields, especially when they have the custom. The power weapons are pretty self-explanatory. They are the most powerful, and are deadly when used right. Here’s a list on all the weapons, clips and respawns times.

It’s nice having those 1v1s since I can win pretty much every time. Thanks for also helping with the spawn system, and another thing ;) Nibbles, again, another person who has taken some time into testing, and enjoying the map. The close games are always fun, and I want some more games on here! LD, I want to thank you sir for inspiring me to use at grid as a "glass". Without you, this map wouldn't be the same.     I was wondering when this would show up. I like the tweaks you've made since we last played, and everything looks clean and crisp.

    Also, what's with you and bland pics lately???

    lol. Anyways, this is an amazing map. I literally cannot point out a single flaw. The "walk-able water" was a genius step in the right direction from LD's Grid wall. It's nice to see that more and more forge techniques are appearing, just as they did in H3.

    But yeah. This is probably the prettiest map I've ever seen. I'm glad you got rid of the roof. :)

    Oh, and finally. Rho, 32-40 looks much better now. Great job on that video. I'd also like to point out that I was the one getting epically stuck and epically sniped through a sticky grenade. :D

    Well it's great to finally see this posted. This map's been through a lot of testing and it shows. The aesthetics are great, but gameplay is even better. It's a fresh asymmetrical map that I would definitely classify as hot pizza. I suppose I didn't really provide much in the way of feedback for this map, likely because i was too busy getting owned in every game I played. Still, I enjoyed contributing with the name and the wee bit of spawn work I did. As great as this map is, it looks like Anent is shaping up to be even better. You took a lot of great elements from this map and improved on them. This map should definitely satisfy the community until Anent's release though. Great work man, I look forward to continuing to play this and to the inevitable co-forge we are bound to do.

    The map has a great theme, A water purification plant is deninitely the feel I get from It. Great way to incorporate the grid into the map. The whole walk on water Idea is pretty cool. The video maps the map look so professional and well made. Are you sure a 3v3 wouldn't work? Great map you have a DL

    I'll give it a dl but it is a little had to see by the pics with the editing. As far as what I can see, it looks pretty neat and forged. I'll give some feedback when I do a run through on it tomorrow, but it seems the name fits it perfectly because of the water theme.

    this map is amazing by all aspects. Like really top quality work. This seems like a map that would go for a feature. My question before DLing this map is that if there is a green special effects in the map. If there is that is my only problem with it.

    Anyways, you guys should stop commenting on the quality of the pictures, and play the map.

    People are missing the important aspects of the map, like how well it plays.

    So I was all like "I'ma go post on Purification!" and then I was like "Already on the second page? Blasphemy."

    Seriously. What the ****. This is probably going to be one of the next featured maps, but apparently no one can recognize quality when they see it. Amazing job Longshot, this out-classes Aqueduct by a mile, and it shall remain in my 1v1 rotation for a long time to come. (If not forever.)

    You really shouldn't do that to your pics- Photoshop them. Especially like that, I can't see detail and it's really ugly to look at- The pics, not the map. Edit them, but don't ruin them.

    Anyways, I reaaallly love the looks of this map. Super cleanly forged and the water areas are really cool as well. I would really like to play on this. I'll give it a download and check it out, but all I can say is that this looks really good. I'm feeling another FHF for you. Seriously, you have my vote.

    I really want to play on this, because from my initial fly through I was not impressed, and I would like to be proven wrong. Something about the map felt just a little bland to me, it looked new but still felt unoriginal. I truly hope my perspective will change after playing it, so I'm re-downloading to get some 1 v. 1 or 2 v. 2 games. I didn't like it from that fly through, but I am still attracted to it all the same. Hm. I'll edit post after I have done this.

    I'll play this with you sometime Shoe, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The map has some pretty original and unique elements and plays quite well.

    Great looking map, super clean. Does the map actually look like that with FX or is that photoshoped? Funny you posted a water purification plant I just posted a water filtration map yesterday that I had been working on for a few months lol water theme on Forge Hub ftw. Good job man.

    Having only run around on this map in Forge, I cannot comment on how it plays. But I can imagine how it will play and that is awesometacular. I absolutely love the design. It's a masterclass in the manifestation of highly cohesive form with coherent object usage. The use of the grid is completely ingenious and the sniper and CPU locations are fantastic (the concept reminds me of Aqueduct by Nexn, which was in turn inspired by Quake, I believe).

    The use of railings from wall-to-wall across the top of the map is a lovely, unique touch and further strengthens the aforementioned cohesion.

    I for one, like the color balance on the images. I think it adds a nice artistic touch. And I commend you, Longshot. This is spectacular and inspirational forging.

    I'll post back here with some extra feedback when I've played a few games on it.
