Battleships created by NlBBLES and Spawn of Saltine Concept: Based off the classic board game. Map: 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 players. I'm far too lazy to take pictures, so instead, I decided to make a small bungie video....at 2:30 in the morning. [bungievid]19136001[/bungievid] I'll get a test version up in my fileshare soon. This will have to suffice for now.
Looks like the **** nibbles, I cant wait to play on it in some test games . Second sentence. looks like they can only use the vehicles when the hill is on their side, hence, 'hill moved' in the video
Looks like the hill moves to the other side, and seems as if you are either in the hill or not, you have a trait that allows you to be in the vehicle and move freely and the other side has no such traits and remains slow and without the hog.
THIS LOOKS AMAZING.... i had no idea that you could do that with gauss hogs.... i can't wait to see the finished product.... any chance of different vehicles such as wraith or any others? but this will be on my list when it comes out
Gauss hogs are the only vehicle that have this glitch. As far as how the game goes: 1. The game starts with a neutral hill which covers the entire play space. The turret operators are forced to pick up CPU's which disable them from dealing damage for the duration of the first hill. This first hills purpose is to ensure that everyone can safely position their before the first single sided hill is given. 2. Teams switch off with 15 second hills for the duration of 3 minutes, or until everyone has been eliminated. 3. When in the hill; you can deal damage, get in vehicles, move incredibly slowly as a human (to catch up to vehicles if necessary) and re-position your vehicle. 12 hills: 1st hill: Neutral 2nd: Red 3rd: Blue 4th: Red 5th: Blue 6th: Red 7th: Blue 8th: Red 9th: Blue 10th: Red 11th: Blue 12th: Neutral EDIT: Spawn and I will hopefully be running tests as much as possible. If you're interested in testing, send an invite to either one of us.
As much as I hate to say it... This is probably the best minigame I have ever played. Great job, guys.
I would say this is probably the most creative minigame out there right now. That said, I didn't find it all that fun. Luckily everyone else did! Godd job Nibs and SOS.
QFT. BUT it is very creative and innovative and I might have to try it again. Hopefully I'll change my mind. Also, it definitely needs an aesthetical overhaul.
I don't understand how the gauss hogs are able to shoot through the walls? I've attempted to make a type of battleship minigame before but it didn't work at all and this just blows me away how accurate this is. I would definitely love playing this.
Hey Im so glad you put up a preview for this amazing game. I had so much fun playing even though I was barely paying attention. Well anyway great job and I hope you get the final version up soon, and I like being in the video
lol..didn't even see that you posted this. We're definitely going to make a major change in the aesthetics in the final product. We have a massive amount of budget to deal with. Like Nibs said, the grid flooring grabs the feel of the original boardgame a bit.
I love how dino trys... then someone makes the same thing work > Anyway, looks amazing nibs. Cant wait to play this. How the harreeeee does a hog shoot through walls?!
I love this game! In a 16-player game, I managed to kill all 8 people on the opposing team. I was so proud of myself but I know it'll never happen again. This map and gametype combo has restored my faith in Halo: Reach mini-games.
Well I played a 16 player game earlier (the one he was in^) and I mist say I had a better time then before. I noticed a little bit more aesthetic appeal this time around as well. It is definitely improving, so keep it up and yall night have a classic.
This was pretty entertaining to test, team work, strategy, and paying close attention when it was not your turn makes all the difference. When the concept was explained before the game it was quiet intriguing, and I wondered how it would play out. But once we got in game and got going it was pretty fun, the radar helped you out, but didn't make it too easy. If you need anyone to test, do invite me again in the future I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
