Ive started working on my first serious attempt at forging, yet im having second guesses on my idea. Its meant to be a symmetrical CTF/Slayer map inspired by the upper floor of construct, with changes. It is still extremely early in development.

So what do you think? Revise? scrap? im all ears so suggest away.

It looks like an interesting idea at the moment. If youve hit a wall and cant think of anything else to do with it, just leave it for a few days and then come back to it fresh. That usually helps me when I get in a rut.

Also, having a theme helps out as well. If youve got a central theme to work around then its easy to base ideas off that. Work on the flow of the map before you do any serious aesthetics work, as the creed goes, "gameplay>aesthetics". Once you have your basic flow down though, Google different interesting architectural designs and see if you can get some inspiration from them to use on your map to make it more visually appealing.

Apart from that, just try to make your map fun. If you dont have fun running around on it, then other people likely wont, either.
