**This map requires the Qbert Slam Game type**

I find the easiest way to describe this map is to try to imagine if Q-bert, Whack a Mole, and Halo became one game. You only have two weapons and they are a reduced damage hammer and stickie grenades, and there is no restocking outside of fallen stickies. The overshield is at the top of the map, with invisibility and the jet pack located on the lower level.

The upper deck as you can see below consisits of the basic Q-bert layout with a few cubes missing and tends to be the main area that people fight. The small maze like lower level has canon men that shoot you out of the holes. The floating platforms on the sides take you back down to the lower level at different locations if you so desire. There is also a single floating lift platform on the left that sends you to the top of the map.

This map is ment to be played in a smaller group. You can play one on one but the repetative hammering can get a bit more tedious at that pace. The best is when you get around 4+ players and start bashing the hell out of each other. It's pure mayhem. Sticky then hammer for a quick kill but remember that combo can also take out the attacker. The other popular move is to just hammer your opponent and send them flying off the map.

Think, "HULK SMASH!!! and this map will be stupid fun.

How's this for retro gaming :)

Come on, doesn't it look like fun.

Here you can see down the missing cube holes to the lifts on the lower level.

Here is the full hieght of the level and you can see into the exposed lower level.

As you can see only the front of the lower level is exposed.

So.. im a little confused. What exactly is Q-Bert and the goal? Is this basically a slayer map? Other than that the map looks pretty unique and i like it!

EDIT: Just saw the video and i think i've seen it before, once only when i was verrry little as i barely remember it. The map stays true to the original, and i applaud the effort. Looks like good gameplay, ill have to download.

Yes this is basically a slayer map but to be fun it does require the Q-bert Slam gametype. If you're too young to know what Q-bert is then watch this:

Oh man, I loved Q-Bert. I'll be interested to see how this plays out...
Have you considered making a territories variant for this? I think that might fit the original theme of Q-Bert better. Regardless, I'll give it a DL!

@Bloo Jay - I'm not sure if the mini games guys would agree with moving this here as it's just a modified slayer but I'll take your word for it.

@Scorch199 - This map came about because I was fussing with 1x1 cubes, then I was reminded of Q-bert. I made the map and thought hey I could make a tiny maze underneath. Unfortunetly it kinda sucked as a regular slayer map but the hammers were fun. This was my first attempt at fussing with a gametype to play the map in a more amusing and destructive way.

I'm not familiar with any game types other than slayer so I'm not sure if territories would even be viable on this map. I would recommend adding it yourself and see how it works for you.

I'll make up some territories variant and see how it works, then send it to you to see if ya like it. It'll take a bit of time as I have finals this week but after that I should have ample time to give it a shot!
