Upcoming Maps

    Thankfully my jobs and college have gotten a lot less hectic this past week and I have been able to get some decent amount of forge time in. I have another week of relaxation time and hope to be able to finish these and make one more in that time. Here are some preview pictures of maps which I am working on.


    Un-named - Narrows inspired map. The idea is one which ive been toying with for a while. Map is complete and requires testing. Also, im struggling for a name so if anyone can help it will be much appreciated.

    Prologue - Epitaph inspired map. The map is the core of Epitaph but with sufficient changes to bring it up to Reachs gameplay requirements whilst also keeing it within the forging limits, particularly in the framerate department.

    For your narrows inspired map, you'll probably have to cover the tops of the bridge cover pillars. Even if you put a soft kill barrier up there, players will be able to slip down the hole and go all HLG on the map, blah, lol.

    I'm looking forward to both of these! I was never a fan of Epitaph, so your first map map tends to intrigue me more! Wish I could get a DL link to run through these myself!

    The walkway covers all have a soft kill barrier stretching the whole depth of them to cancel HLG type tactics. I originally had them covered with blocks but took them out for framerate.

    Sadly no DL links yet man, your more than welcome to join me in forge sometime though :)

    Good to know! I wasn't sure if you'd have enough kill barriers to block all of them.

    And if you did have physical blocks in place, as long as you couldn't see them from ground level, it wouldn't effect frame rate since the game won't render objects not on screen. Assuming they wouldn't be poking through any geometry at all.

    Thats cool man, a quick point of interest though, when I removed them it definately improved framerate. No where near as much as other things that were taken out but it did help a bit. Hopefully see you online.
