very nice balenced map,i love it going to play it with friends on saturday btw,if i heard right its in a compottion,i think it should win! great job! sry ive been off for a few days

This map is aesthetically very nice. Good job! I applaud your creativity! However We did run into a few issues playing it. We played 3v3 slayer DMR's. The framerate did drop looking down the center from end to end. Not game breaking but not great. The center is a little too open and it felt like you were constantly getting shot at. could benefit from a little cover. The spawns were a little weird but not horrible. And the Rockets seemed to dominate the map. You should consider taking away some of its ammo and, I'm not sure of its spawn time but if its not 180 already, you should make it 180. Other than that good job and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comment! i have to say I never tested the map for DMRs it was always intended for AR Starts and Infection Gametypes. The center was left purposefully with less cover to balance the Rocket Launcher in Rhem. I wanted there to be real risk reward for gaining the rocket launcher. I know my spawning can be a little unconventional but I always aim to bring as much variety to respawns as I can. If you like playing slayer DMRs I would like to point you to Aegir (Forgehub Link) Aegir is more suited for DMR matches. I honestly am a fan of AR starts so I usually test my maps using those starts, but the cover in Aegir is definitely more suited for DMR starts. Thanks again for the comment! -Atlas
I was a part of the session GrenadeGorilla mentioned. My thoughts on the map: the aesthetics are beautiful, first of all. No question that it's visually arresting and one of the most interesting-looking maps I've played on. Framerate wasn't too bad at any point for me either. Unfortunately as a play space, I didn't really enjoy playing on it. I felt like there was a lot of clutter - little pieces of things I kept getting hung up on, lots of finicky areas to fight through or jump over to get to where I wanted to go. And being under fire made the center area borderline unpassable (though that's partly because I didn't look at it to understand the layout prior to trying to cross it). I would get stuck on something, fall in the water, etc. What seemed to quickly become the case was that nobody played or moved through the center area - we stuck to the outside of the box and fought around it in a big rectangle pattern. Overall I'd give this an A as an aesthetic map, but as a competitive map I feel it needs a lot of work.
Actually I do prefer AR starts and I thought that AR starts would have been a better choice as we played through it haha It honestly would make a huge difference in gameplay on the map to play with AR's But for the people who do prefer to start with DMR's (which I'll never really understand why they would haha) the map just isn't fun. It really needs work well for both play styles. Don't take this the wrong way because in no way am I trying to bash your work because this indeed is a work of art. Just offering some constructive criticism
Thanks for the comment! Not sure if you guys are community cartographers or not, but you should be! The fact that you guys got a game on the map and came in commenting on all aspects of the map (aesthetics, layout, frame rate) Shows you have a real dedication to the community and I applaud you. I was worried the simplistic layout of Rhem would cause problems with those looking for a more interesting layout. I really enjoyed how it played on Team Slayer, but after a while I began to realize what people really enjoyed about the map was the infection gametypes. Infection was never meant to be the primary gametype for this map, but I've had to rethink what the map after getting the communities reaction, but you are right I do wish the map worked better on a team slayer level.
this hidden gem on page 10 lol. Great gameplay. i love the dynamics you created in the center with those lilly pads or cogs. the rockets in the middle one... everything was superb. I enjoyed playing this very much!
