Ok, so here goes... I have always been on forgehub and have been dowloading maps and surfing its forums since it was created back in the H3 era, and i have finally overcome my laziness and decided to signup to the website and post my first map. This map is One (how appropriate): One is a completely symetrical, smaller sized map that is (for now) set up for only the slayer variants. As the kinks are ironed out i will be adding the rest of the gametypes this map can handle. For One, i set out to build a simple, fun to play on, small map. The design was based off of a map i began to make in H3 but never got around to finishing. It consists of essentially two bases, and three routes between them. One route is semi enclosed and opens into a lower area where the sniper spawns. The next, and fastest, route is the main bridge in the center, which is the rocket spawn and the last route, which has many sub-routes is the hill, which has the last power weapon, the shotgun. The map also contains a needle rifle, a plasma pistol, 2 plasma repeaters, 2 assault rifles, 2 DMRs, 2 magnums, 2 needlers and some grenades of both varieties scattered about. So, enough of the text, here are the pics that most of you skipped to anyway. Very nice looking. I love the genorator behind the grav lift. The map has so many smooth and well made aesthetics parts all throughout it. I like the shield doors, and the view from the sniper spawn. Great job.
Seems very interesting. All of it looks very well planned out and aesthetics the looks great. Nice job.
While I have not played the map yet, I can't help but think that lowering the hill to one single ramp height and removing the "wall" you have placed, might balance that space better. Right now it almost feels like a place a team will sit the whole game, relatively protected and given quite a height advantage. Lowering it a bit will make it less advantageous and possibly help movement around the whole map. But again, this is all in theory. I love the overall aesthetic of the map, and I'm looking forward to trying this one out! [edit]: Also, I really look forward to that invasion map!
Very unique, Ghostfire. It looks like a very interesting map to play on! I'll give it a download and check it out in forge (even though I have a feeling I'll be keeping it for a long while). I think the walls by the hill are a neat idea which is very simple yet smart giving that part of the map a neat looking feel. Can't wait to see your invasion map, it looks like it's coming along very well.

I agree with Draw the Line on the hill camping issue. Other than that I think you have a real winner on your hands. It kinda reminds me of the bottom of High Noon but I might just be seeing things. This was an excellent first post and I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Im building an update that fixes some problems I have already found and addresses some asthetic issues. If any of you have playtested the map, are there any gameplay problems that should be addressed? Thank you in advance for any answers
lots of neat little aesthetics, i love the hill, it just looks so spiffy lol, looks like a very cleancut map, only thing i have to complain about is the lack of imagination in the flooring, 5x5's are really boring to looks at, but very clean cut map, cant wait to see more of it
This map looks great! I like the detail you put into the background (Coliseum windows) as well as the building behind it. The aesthetics inside are also well done. And your next invasion map looks AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
