Knock Out As you might be able to tell from the pictures, this map is a combination of Lock Out, Pinnacle, and The Cage. *I used "II Maky II"s remake of Lockout for the buildings from Lockout. I started the map on His Lockout and recreated 2 of the buildings at a different location, which is why it says Created by II Maky II. So dont accuse me of Stealing my own map please. Funny / Not so Funny story about the map Spoiler I started this map less than a month ago, I started by looking at II Maky II's Lockout buildings, and then opened a new forge and tried to recreate them. That was way too difficult, so i opened up his Lockout and started making the same buildings in a different part of forge world. I had to flip the lockout building in order to get it to work with my maps, layout but i finally finished it. all that was left was gametypes. but I was bored and started another map. after a day forging my new map Spoiler Quadruple Tree. Which is ready and will be posted in a few days. it somehow saved over Knockout, and my temporary files were empty. I read up everything i could find online hwo to recover, but it was lost. Until i remembered My friend GT <Notmybad> played it a week before. so i called him and he had it loaded up.. thank GOD, but it was an unfinished version, so i had to re finish it. The end.
Thanks, it is a lot of fun. i took me a while to think of a way to make the buildings connect, but i think it turned out ok.
I saw my friend trying to do the same thing a little while ago. He never finished it and I was very disappointed that it didn't work out. I'm very glad someone else had the same idea. From the pics and the video it looks like you've spent a lot of time and careful thought placing the structures. I cant wait to play it. Great job!
Thanks, ya. even though the buildings are the same things from the cage and pinnacle, it still took me a long time to finish. mainly because i find myself trying to snipe grenade launcher grenades out of the sky instead of forging. lol ya, the layout took careful thinking. i had a lot of different ideas on where to put the buildings and how to make the lower level's layout..
I had the pleasure to play a couple games on this and its a jaw dropper! the way these three different maps are connected is just fantastic. Since reach haas comeout ive hoped to see something of this calibre on remake remixes : ) good job now please post something new!
Thanks Tom. ya while i was making this.. the pieces were just coming together perfectly.. it took quite a bit of planning on what from each level i was going to use.. but it worked. and no worries i have a new map that i plan on posting within a couple days.
This map was an interesting idea. I never played on this so I have no reason to comment on gameplay. However, seeing that it's a combination of maps I've played, I'm assuming that it plays as good as all those combined; but that's not the case. I'd have to wait to get a game on this so, til' then.
It plays exactly how you would imagine a game on Pinnicle, lockout or the cage would be.. lol. depending on the gametyp, liek swat for example, there is mostly staying in towers. but slayer is all over the place. i would say it plays mostly liek Lockout does. which is good because thats one of the best maps bungie has ever given us.
Hey, I just downloaded this and played a custom game with all my friends and they LOVE this map! Great job! The only problem seemed to be a bit of lag, that may have been our connection but when i tried it solo it still had lag, so maybe it's just too big for it's own good? Idk 4 sure. Anyways, good job! Oh, and everybody laughed at that traffic cone.
well im glad to hear you and your friends enjoyed this map.. and i havent experienced lag on the map myself. but i have heard others say that they have lag. and the cone is there to be worshipped... not laughed at.. lol jk
I'm a little late to the party, but o well! This was a very interesting idea Marcass! I was able to get a quick game on this with my roommates, and the flow and gameplay was interesting to say the least! As for the lag issue, I know I did not experience any noticeable frame rate drop, so I give you props for that! If you want to get anymore games on this hit me up!
