Ive been wondering about this for a while. What happened to reach file share? Everybody usedto have a bungie pro file share full of maps and screenshots, but now, its all gone. A desolate world of empty file shares. I want to cry.
Well, we are still in the very young stages of Reach. Plus, screenshots, like the sigs, are more difficult or haven't been widely spread yet. And you aren't able to view peoples File Shares in the Pre-game Lobby, so all you're ever really looking at are your friends'.
Well uhh...Reach is significantly less active than Halo 3. And I mean significantly. I feel like because theater isn't a new thing, you don't see people getting excited about things like screenshots, not like they used to be. Many of the formerly well known photographers (a tuxedo cat, a cuban cat, etc. ) haven't even taken screenshots in Reach. I personally haven't seen nearly the amount I had in H3. The same goes for clips, when theater was new I'm sure people were more excited to show off their 'OMG DOUBLE KILL' stuff. Also, I think it's just the interface as well. The file share doesn't seem as 'attractive' for lack of better words, as it had formerly been. It's just a list of names, where prior there were thumbnails for everything and it was organized into columns. This is just my take on it of course. Personally I don't like reach a whole bunch because of small things like this.
I thought the Reach File Share was pretty active, theres thousands of images, clips, maps and gametypes in there if you care to search for them. They even have an entire section of the Bungie.net site dedicated to these things. I only just recently got a Pro sub when they reduced it to 6 months and changed the price. Ive got a bunch of crap in my File Share anyway, so Im not letting it go to waste.
