HOPE Shortly after the discovery of Faith, hope was found. Scientists believe that Faith and Hope have some sort of connection that could lead us to unfold halo's darkest secrets. Intro: Welcome to Hope. Hope is a symmetrical map I made to go along with my other map "Faith" These two are basically "one", if you will. This map, as with many of my other maps, has a bridge that runs through the center of the map. The similarities between Faith and Hope are subtle, but they're there. You just have to...look alittle. The orange glow to Hope's center gives off a vibe of Energy and Zest. Download, comment and be sure to leave feedback on gameplay. Thanks. Weapons: x1 Grenade Launcher (Respawn: 100) x1 Energy Sword (Respawn: 120) x2 DMR x1 Needle Rifle x1 Needler x4 Health Pack x4 Plasma Grenade Screenshots: Middle/ sword spawn. Top, middle bridge/ Grenade launcher. Red spawn. (Same as blue) Exterior of bridge. Overview of the map.
definatly a small map, but very good looking. The problem is that this is like your other map, cynical. at least the middle is. I think it would be better if you didnt make them with the same idea. Or you might want to post them in a map pack, since youve released almost all your maps over the past couple of days. you know, post them together. still a vey good job and good use of the brace peices .
Eightball, this is just phenomenal! The architecture is amazing (Brace, Large FTW!), but I think my favorite aspect is the lighting. That orange glow is perfect along with the coloration of the rest of the Forge pieces. You really like the Energy Sword and Grenade Launcher, don't you? This map looks great for some DMR/NR duels. Excellent work, and I look forward to many epic team games on this!
First of all, no this isn't that small. Second, this isn't ANTYTHING like Cynical, the bridge is completely different, The middle is different if you really can't tell go back and take another look. And third, I have RROD so I don't know how long my xbox will hold up. It doesn't really matter that I'm posting them all at once, you should be happy I'm posting them at all. Please don't judge this map on pictures alone. I appreciate the comments though. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Thanks man. I had alittle inspiration from you though. I tried to get creative with this map, as I do in all of my other maps. Let me know how it plays out. I usually put the same weapons on my maps. Honestly I have no idea why. Thanks again for your support.
I realy like your attention to detail, me and my friend are gonna play this one for a while. Keep the maps comming
I really enjoyed the attention to detail in this map, the rocks used as cover in the bases and the rocks in the ceiling were a particularly nice touch. However, I too have some concerns about the size of the map. Walking through it it may not be physically small, but I feel like I'm being forced into a set number of paths. It would be nice to have one more way to cross the map so you wouldn't be constantly running into conflicts in the same areas.
I can see your concern, although, this map is mainly set to have you not searching for your enemy all the time, rather you find quick and exciting action around every corner. As I said, This is a map that you don't have to spend a lot of time trying to look for your opponent. Thanks for the comments and constructive criticism.
I like the aesthetics and the layout, simple, but stylish. I would like to feature this map in an article I will be writing soon, unless you object. I also think it would be a great objective (flag/bomb) map. do you have plans to add those? If not, I will with the copy I have for when I want to play on it. I can even give you a copy when I am done. Let me know what your plans are...
It looks good as always, but the layout could use work. Might I suggest dditional rooms in the side hallways to open up the map a little bit? You've got space between the coliseum walls so I'm sure you can make a few changes.
You can feature it anywhere you want, haha. I don't object, that's for sure. As for other gametypes, at the time, I didn't know how to set them up, so I don't have any. Now I know and can set them up, if you'd like. Thanks for the comments.
This looks pretty sweet. My only concern is the Brace larges for flooring. While they are necessary in some cases (and used on my own maps), the grenade issues kind of overrule using them throughout an entire map. It looks pretty necessary to use them over the small pond in the middle, but if possible, I'd suggest using another piece for the other ares, if possible. Also, how is the framerate. I notice a few ares with a high density of lag objects.
WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS? EightBall, once again another awesome map. I like the layout. It is comfortable with size, I have no idea what the others are thinking. The only problems I see with the map is the Energy Sword. If someone plays with sprint, it will be pretty much no contest. Also, the lag, if any. I have not played it yet, so I hope there is little
You're right on that brace large part, but I tried to make everything look uniform and neat. I could definetly do something different though..As for framerate lag, I think I noticed a small amount, but I'm not sure if it effected gameplay at all, seeing as I didn't ever get any games on it. If you manage to, let me know how it plays out. Thanks. [br][/br]Edited by merge: This map was not that popular, that's probably why you didn't see it- It got to the last page pretty fast. You're right about the sword part, I agree completely. I can't argue with anything anyone has said on this map, as with my others, seeing as I didn't know that much about forge as I do now. Thanks for the comments, if you get any games on this at all, please let me know how it plays out.
