Hey Forgehub, this is the second map I have forged and decided to post it to see what you all thought of it. Basically it all started when I was playing around with 'Asian' style architecture. As I figured a few things out a map started to grow and this is the end product of that. This is a medium-small map designed for fast action with man cannons and teleporters set up for getting advantages on the enemy. The map has four power wepons that all work in well if you keep moving. There is a sniper rifle, a sword, a rocket launcher, and a grenade launcher. I haven't found it to be too chaotic with these four weapons but let me know if what you think. Here are some pictures to help you get an idea. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. I like the idea and form of the map it does closely resemble old Chinese architectural designs and is very well done. Placement on the map isn't the greatest and I wish it would have been done somewhere else, but other than that its really well put together, good job!
I think you did a great job with creating unique architecture. however, the map seems to be a bit too vertical and bridge oriented (oreo-ented?) to promote very good gameplay. i'd love to be proven wrong, of course.
Looks pretty awesome. You always make such nice maps. I really liked that Observatory map you made- Just gorgeous. Anyways, I can see a lot of creativity in this map and it's quite aesthetically pleasing as well. It would prbably benefit you to add more cover to some of the walkways, but I can't judge too much just from the pics. I have always wanted to do a Japanese/ Asian style map, but was just to lazy to do it. You have done an excellent job at that. Queue'd for DL.
ROFL at the name, that's awesome!! Very nice man, looks fun, reminds of the space maps in Quake 3. Why change the perfection that is platforms with teleporters and mancannons between them? Aesthetics are very nice as usual. Queued this up, Udi and I will test it out next time we're on Reach.
Nice location. Definitely don't see very many maps there. Great use of the ledges along the Pillar. I like the Chinese aesthetics. Looks authentic. Great work.
Hey guys thanks for all the positive feed back and sorry for the extremly delayed reply, i stopped play reach for a while but ive started back up and im back into hours and hours of looking at forgehub maps hahah the map is fairly vertical and bridge oriented but i find it doesnt promote poor gameplay rather just a different style of gameplay, its alot more fast pace were the upper hand can change in a flash, ive had alot of fun playing on it and i hope you do too!
