Remake Reminiscence

    "The remnants of ancient chambers forged into an eclectic shrine."

    Reminiscence is a Medium-Large asymmetrical map recommended for One Flag. It is compatible with all gametypes except Invasion and Race. Power weapons include the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Sniper Rifle and two Shotguns. This map is designed to include a selection from each original Halo map. Reminiscence is basically a nostalgic series of Close Quarters encounters built to Big Team Battle scale.

    I played this map around a month ago. The problem I had with it was all the dead ends and the fact that it is impossible to traverse the map without accomplishing trick jumps or traveling through teleporters. My suggestion would be to make the map easy to travel on, make it flow, then you'll have a pretty solid map here my friend

    Map looks pretty sweet man. I do have to agree that the flow could be better by reducing dead ends and trick jumps but otherwise it plays pretty well. I'd also try to add a few more aesthetic touches as some areas look a bit plain.

    Not sure how this would play but I can say that it's a trippy nostalgic experience by just walking through it.

    I would have preferred the entire blood gulch base rather than half but that's my only complaint.

    Great original idea.

    When can I expect a halo 2 version?

    Definitely not any time in the near future. It seems as though I've struck out with this version. I'll need to sit down and reorganize the entire map from what feedback suggests... which I'm not opposed to, it's just a rather daunting task.

    I was aware that the flow was a little broken at times, but I thought I was careful not to include any dead ends. I'll need to rethink where and how rooms will connect.

    As far as aesthetics go, I did the best I could with the few remaining resources I had left after completing each room. Perhaps I'll scale down some of the larger sections to leave some blocks open for decoration.
