Mainly Support and a bit of Objective. I always end up with 2-4 deaths in any CTF game with LOTS of assist and a very good K/D ratio.

Lone wolf motha ****a. I usually push very hard into an enemy's base, and try and flank constantly. I also move really quickly, which makes it a pain for any teammates who are trying to support me. :/

That's me too. Sometimes if I'm having a rough game I'll start following a teammate around and trying to support (which usually means cherry-picking all his kills... heh heh). But my default mode is aggressively pushing, rushing power weapons, flanking, infiltrating enemy areas, and so on. I've always thought I had a pretty respectable k/d considering how often I deliberately put myself in harm's way.

In regular playlists I just run around killing everything because 90% of people who regular Reach MM are awful. Try and control every power weapon as much as possible, especially Sniper, but as long as I have a DMR I'll be happy enough and stay aggressive. I'll admit to sometimes running Shotty + Sword on Countdown, but that's just for the hilarity factor more than anything. I also abuse the HELL out of motion tracker, I honestly didn't realise how much this factored in to my performances until Ladnil pointed it out the other day.

In competitive playlists/customs it really depends. If I've got the best aim on my team and am on that day then I'll do everything I can to control Snipes, sometimes too much to the point of neglecting map control/team work etc, though I'm often lucky enough to have good team mates who will point this out and bust me back in to line. When, as is often the case in more competitive scenarios, my team mates are better than me then I try to run support, though I still haven't found my groove in this role yet.

I also focus heavily on communication and try to get callouts going as much as possible. I have to admit, though, that when things consistently get on top of me I turn in to an old school Neighbor and callouts/aggressiveness start to fall off. I really need to work on this and my mental game in general, as keeping a good, focused head even when things aren't going your way is the mark of a good player in any role, but especially a supporting role.

EDIT: forgot to address objective play. In H3 I used to love running flag more than anything else, but in Reach I just can't get the hang of it. Not the process, still relatively easy, just the judgement aspect. I guess I find the dual pace of Sprint etc. harder to factor in to my flag running approach, plus I'm just not nearly as comfortable with the maps and resulting routes as I was for most of H3. Perhaps watching more and more MLG play will help this.

However, I've really found a fondness for being a ball guy. I find judging when to move, which direction to move, and how to squeeze every last second out of a ball setup MUCH more natural and rewarding than it was in H3, which is weird considering how much harder I find that same thing with flag. As a result I am, as you can imagine, pretty disappointed about ball being taken off the circuit.

back in H3, i was a supporter. Always calling out enemy locations, getting shots for assist, but now I go lonewolf it and wonder around for flanks.

I don't specifically assign myself one particular set of roles because I like to immerse myself in tons of different types of styles. I like being able to use whatever I am handed and I try to get the best feel for everything that the game offers and train myself to use everything to the best of my potential. I have my preferences, but I try to steer away from staying faithful to one type of play. My style also greatly depends on what I am playing (playlists, maps, gametypes, etc...)

What I feel most efficient with on a general basis is
Using Camo or abilities that make you move fast (sprint/evade)
Medium-Long Range Weapons: DMR/NR, Sniper (on long range maps- I have more difficulty sniping on CQC maps), Focus Rifle, Plasma Launcher, etc...

I have more fun playing objective games because they get unbelievably intense when you have two fully coordinated teams head to head.

My favorite types of playlists are anything big. I think the bigger, the better because I like the more varied weapon/vehicle sets and bigger playing fields a bit better, but I still enjoy the small games around as much.

The guy who barely uses his mic but rages when he does due to campers, hoggers etc. who is also a decent driver and loves the falcon and prefers long-range fights but hates when he gets sniped by a camper with camo.

Strait up support. Like, I support support players I'm so good at it.

Although, when I am in a good mood and have a sniper, I can pick up 25 kills easy.

I'm mostly a slayer/objective player... Such as in Flag, I always find myself trying to run the enemy base and (if the map has the layout for it) throwing the flags down to my teammates out of the bases.

However, in FFA objective gametypes, I usually stat *****. I hate running strait into death in KotH, and won't except on a certain few maps where you can actually defend yourself on some of the hills. I also never hold the Oddball in FFA. I cannot stand leaving myself so defenseless...

I usually find myself whoring power weapons, too. Mostly GL, Rockets and Snipe. However, when I find an actual good MM player, I usually let them have Sniper/GL (weapons that take some skill) if they want it. I usually steer away from them when I'm having a bad day. Which I do. A lot.

I also play Bumper Jumper, which narrows AA choices down to Sprint (mostly) which adds to my "lone wolf" style of play. I run out and slay, letting my teammates pick up the main objective/support roles.

    @Peggy

I don't like flag running anymore either... :/

I play it cool. The most predictable style straight down the middle until I go -5. THEN, when no one is paying attention anymore, I sneak around back and get a kill. Not two, just one kill.

    I'm usually a team player.

I mostly play slayer, CTF, and Infection, I don't really like any of the other gametypes.

    ^ Cool story.

I'm over aggressive, but I'm not stupid. I'll pick up lots of kills, but quite a few deaths too. However my k/d is rarely a minus.

So I have no idea. It's different in doubles though. In doubles I'm careful, holding strategic locations, pushing up towards power weapons, bottle necking...

In FFA I'm pretty much suicidal, but It's won me a fair share of games.
