Highlands Invasion

    Using A 3 Legged Goat's Highlands Canvas was my starting point. I put the middle teleporters back. Also the base teleporters both transport to the island at the inner edge of the territory 1 (spawning at Phase 2).

    Spartans attacking, with a shift perspective to make it feel like defensive)

    Phase 1-Holdout (variation of Territories)-No Grenades in Loadouts
    -Inside the Pelican is where the spartan's initial spawn is located. This is inside a giant Territory for the Phase 1 Objective. The Spartan's are also given an additional Backfield Spawn at the Blue Base to provide 'excessive' spawn killing relief.

    The Spartan Inital Spawn (W/backfield) in the Pelican on the Left. One set of Elite Spawn with a backspawn on the far right. The 'Holdout' territory is a full evade and a recharge away.

    -The Elites spawn at the end of the Big Horn River (also a backfield spawn), Near the Wall by the Caves( Also a backfield spawn, the one in the above picture), and Over by the Lighthouse (a Phase 1 spawn).

    1 Giant territory surrounds the Pelican and Island. 60 second timer recharges back to 15 seconds.

    -Above-The spartan backfield spawn under the walkway a full sprint and recharge away from the hill. Also the mongeese and the P2 Standard Hog with the P3 Rocket Hog
    Phase 2-Capture the Core

    -Above Core is located in the top floor of the communications building and must be brought back to the Pelican.
    -Spartans take the Lighthouse spawn point. 1 Standard Hog and 2 Mongeese delivered to Blue Base.

    Above, the spawn point the Elites have for P1 (as well as the 2nd 2-man initial), that converts to Spartan for P21 and P3. The P3 Standard Hog and Goose, with the P3 Falcon in the background

    -Above Elites have Phased spawn at Red base (Left near-under the walkway). In the far right at the end of the Big Horn River is the 3rd Elite inital spawn (w/backfield)
    -1 Revanant and 2 Ghosts delivered to Red Base. (Revanants spawn where the Hogs spawn the other side. slightly out of view across from the ghosts)

    Phase 3-Assault.
    The core becomes the bomb and its time to bring it to the waterfall to blow the dam. 60 Second arm time, 5 second disarm/reset timer.
    -Spartans get 1 additional Mongoose and 1 Standard Hog at Lighthouse, 1 Rocket Hog (With 1st hog), and 1 Falcon (behind Base).
    -Elites get 2 additional ghosts at the wall, 1 additional Revanant with the 1st and 1 Wraith (behind base).

    Not much for weapons placed anywhere, didn't really get up to that, mostly just got the objectives working. Some crates and barriers put up. Grenade Launcher near the blue base, Concussion Rifle near the Red, A DMR on each side, the entrance of Operations also the cave entrance of Communications and a Rocket Launcher upstairs of the motor pool. One sniper rifle at the far end of each base (by their respective cliffs). Needle Rifle was put back. Shotguns were added a little bit outside the 1st territory zone with 1 grenade(under the waterfall and between the rock pillars). One plasma grenade in the motor pool and one on the cliff path. Plasma Launcher in front of the rock on the top waterfall platform.

    I apreaciate that you built a map on a map other than forgeworld. The items are so limited. Looks good.

    Nice to see the first highlands invasion[i think corect me if im worng]as of the limit of items for highlands :\ you made this map work well

    This isn't the first Invasion on Highlands variant I've found. There is a Preview of an Elite Attacking one on ForgeHub here http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-forge-discussion/123107-invasion-highlands.html.

    The gametype is kind of a mess right now ( I think the bomb reset time is too quick, also arm time is probably to long) also the weapon spawn times/ammo amounts are in need to tweaking. There is alot of work to be done but I wanted to get the community involved for feedback.

    Then again, is the convoy get assaulted hard and they dropped the bomb and it resets, the new one is basically at the spawn point, so that is kind of null. Also it would be great if we could get a customs playtest set up for somewhen for tweaking purposes.

    Hey guys, it's AMALGAMATIQN. I've already made a great Invasion: Highlands map, and it's up on new Reach gametypes. Please check it out - it's really cool, I've played it myself and with some other people, and we all think that it deserves to be shared with the world. So please, give it a look.
