Quayside is a medium sized map designed for both vehicular and on-foot battles. In a city setting, two teams holed up in different skyscrapers fight between the large stairs, crossing highways and tunnels to reach the other side. This mostly-symmetrical map is set up for games of slayer, Flag, and King of the Hill right now, but expect more as it reaches it's final version.

    Weapons/Vehicles:
    - 1 Neutral Warthog
    - 2 Ghosts
    - 2 Mongooses
    - 1 Rocket Launcher (4 shot)
    - 1 Sniper (1 spare clip)
    - 2 Shotguns (0 spare clips)
    - 2 Grenade Launchers (3 shot)
    - 2 Machine Gun Turrets

    - 2 Plasma Pistols
    - 2 Needle Rifles
    - 1 Needler
    - 6 DMR's
    - 2 Assault Rifles

I am trying to get this tested in the Tester's Guild Right now, so if you want a good map to test, give this a try. Otherwise you are welcome to test and comment, I welcome all constructive feedback and will try to reply to your thoughts.

Holy ****, the scale of that last picture makes it seem massive. I will definitely like to test this if it needs it.

Thanks man, but the map is deceptively small, good for games of about 8-12 players. This is why the neutral vehicle is a hog and not something stronger. Vehicles really need a lot of room, more than I always remember, but this came out all right. If you test it, invite me if I'm on but don't worry if I'm not, I will trust the feedback you give. Thanks for the interest!

I would also be up for testing this, It looks like it has a great deal of potential. I would have liked to see more of the bases though in the pictures.

I will take more pics once I test this version, I hate taking pictures that are soon to be outdated, just like these ones are. Stupid falcon taunts me from beyond the grave...

This looks really good, I like the overall look to it, this looks like it could become a great map with a little more work. If your still going to be testing it this weekend I would love to help.

I don't know how other people feel about this, but usually I hate neutral vehicles in big team. Occasionally they are tactfully done like the ghost in Rat's Nest, but more often than not they give too much of an advantage to one team that obtains it because they already control the map, and create a giant standoff of bumrushing at the beginning of the game as in Boneyard. I'd say you have enough space to give one warthog to each team and a neutral ghost in the center rat's nest style.

It's up in the TG, but if you just want to take it to a party I accept all feedback. I will test it this weekend, but I don't have a specific session worked out, so I will probably just jump into some testing session going on. I am still hoping that a TG member will test this soon, I would but... testing your own map and writing feedback wouldn't be very productive, as you couldn't be entirely critical. Alright, anyone who wants to test, please download and if one comes up let me know what you think!

    Edited by merge:

Unfortunately, 2 Warthogs was just a little too much in my early testing, they seemed to be a little unwieldy and to take over too much of the map. A neutral ghost I feel would also make little sense, as the draw of a stronger vehicle would be gone; if you have 2 hogs, a ghost seems less important. I feel the Hog will give only a limited level of control, other weapons on the map like the rockets and sniper may be in your teams control, and each team has a grenade launcher, plasma pistol, and a turret on their side, so I feel they should be alright. The hog is also not as big a goal as the tank in Boneyard and can get away faster, so I believe it will be viewed as a good thing to have but not the end of the world if you don't get it (plus the rush for rockets and sniper should balance the hog.)

Thank you for the constructive comment though, I originally would have agreed about each base having a hog, but that sadly didn't play well, which is why this new vehicle set needs to be tested. Thanks for the comments guys!
