Gradient Created by Adman00 (aka Mallet) Gradient is different from most foundry maps you'll see because, rather than having just a simple flat floor, Mallet perfectly demonstrates interlocking objects by creating hills and mounds. There are two bases and several raised areas overlooking the map providing extra cover. The map itself is quite small because of the amount of resources needed to make the floor, which makes it perfect for fast paced games. /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/1.jpg /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/2.jpg /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/3.jpg /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/4.jpg /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/5.jpg /home/tp-images/Image/Gradient/6.jpg Download Gradient
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? nice idea... but yea... it does make the map look messy also, i thought a panorama was a shot which continued a certain picture (like a class photo where there are too many people) not a shot which shows to different pictures (without a common reference point) blended together...
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Sarge is right, infact we veto your map just because you misused the word panorama. Joking. Anyways the map does look messy, but it seems it would play fairly well.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Thats what he did, its just like a class picture. he basically snapped 3 or more photos on the same axis and cropped them together. As for the map, i like the idea but i agree that it looks kinda messy. I have to give your props though because i can only image how much time this actually took to make.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? OOOH I see it now.... I thought he took 2 pics of the outside then took one pic of the inside of a room he made or something... my bad
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? it is a great concept. i hadnt even though about doing that. i suggest you space your pics. it makes it easier to follow that way. the map itself looks like it would have taken hours to set up. is the ground smooth or do you get stuck when you run around.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Yeah I know the walls are pretty ugly looking (messy), but ingame its not as bad at all. I added some ingame pics which hopefully look a bit better: It took maybe 6 or 7 hours, did it in two sessions. And bkbillsfan its all smooth, there was a bumpy joint but I put the "sniper" area thing there. Theres maybe the odd really little bump.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? I think its very unique. As a matter of fact, I want to play a round with you sometime! 99.9/100!! lol
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? This looks fun, unique, and refreshingly different. Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to find the dl link.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? It does look very interesting. I am going to test it out, very unique. -Donuts
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Ah. How stupid of me. Added a DL link =s Thanks for the comments ;D
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Nice map, I don't think I personally have the patience to do all that interlocking.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Holy. Crap. I haven't tried doing the interlocking objects technique yet, but if I understand it correctly, it takes a lot of time. You obviously spent a lot of time on this map. I wouldn't worry too much about how it looks, as long as players can run and strafe smoothly without getting hung up on ledges. Leave this on your file share for a few weeks so I can take an in-game look at it when my 360 gets fixed.
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? "i gave it a go" lol that must have taken waaaayyyyy to long for my attention span. looks really nice though! ill DL right now
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Cool but how'd u get the objects to intersect each other like you know go in each other?
Re: Gradient - A completely unique map? Good idea, I never would've thought of it. I just downloaded it I'll give it a try whenever I can.
