YouTube - Halo Reach - Sneak peek at a new Invasion map - Boneyard Infiltration Still in beta, and I still need to correct some issues before I think about bringing it live. When it's finished, there will be 2 versions of the map, 1 for Invasion, and 1 for Slayer/other gametypes.
This doesn't look much different from the original. The territories a shifted a few meters in a set direction and raised into the air onto a different area. The only real difference (aside from weapons and vehicles) is the core capture spot. To be honest, it doesn't seem that original. However, if you do continue the map I'd suggest to remove the power weapons from the first phase.
I completely understand your concern. Believe it or not this map actually uses about 300 ramps to make the middle part. A lot of work went into the middle part, which I should have explored more. The middle part acts like a giant bridge connecting the Refinery to the Starting point in the Invasion mode, however in the Slayer variant you'll find the middle portion to be the focus on the map; the refinery and the area at the start of the video won't be accessible at all. P.S. This map is impossible to make in Halo Reach by default, since you are limited to 8 trick ramps. I'm using the "Forge Yard" modded/glitched map which has about 600 trick ramps to work with. I use the ramps to make the middle structure, then I deleted all the ramps I didn't use which fixes any framerate issues.
I don't believe that modded maps are accepted here on Forgehub, so I think it would behoove you not to actually release this. However, you may be able to make something similar on Forgeworld - It could be recreated since you only used a portion of Boneyard.
We'll see. I just wanted to let you know that more work went into this map then you're making it out to be.
