Hey everyone im back with my 2nd and more then likely last race track, unless i can be bothered to make more. Anyway i thought id try and make a city map but try and do it my way so i thought ill do it with warthogs and id do city which is currently getting built. So your racing round at night in a half built city(sort of a construction site) hence the name construct. Right onto the map Starting area in the river. Wait until all lights show to go(20 secs) First corner into small cave under the town Coming out of the underground heading onto small straight Around the HT roundabout and back down the straigt towards the city Coming up from straight heading to the city Heading into town Around the monument Now across the glass bottom bridge across the river running through Up and round then off to the docks Go past the docks and head to the unfished bridge Jump across Back down to the terrain Head back towards the city Back down into river through to the finish How long it to me to make? About 3 hours What took the longest? Building the actual city and cranes Why? I wanted to try and make a city map with is different. Lap Time:1:16-1:20 I would like to point out it DOES work with mongoses. Hope you like it, please try and tell me what you think.
I liked this map quite a bit overall, but the checkpoints could use a little work. Going into the center monument area, it wasn't readily apparent the first time around which direction to take. From the angle I entered, it seemed like after the first monument checkpoint I'd head to the right, but the next checkpoint was actually looped around the other side of the monument. Some subtle additional geometry and reworking checkpoints could fix this. Also, it can be hard to see the edge of the track when the road is underwater - going off to the secluded HT structure, the deep water isn't marked by any geometry, so it is easy to drive straight off the side. Despite these issues, it was still a very fun race.
for some reason i hate to ask something that could be obvious, but isnt there a part of the halo series that mentions something called the construct?
