    Cenotaph, my latest forge creation, is a completely symmetrical arena. I drew inspiration originally from the Halo 3 map Epitaph, but Cenotaph soon developed a style of its own. The construction on Cenotaph is complete, and all that remains is spawn/gametype placement along with a lot of testing. Once finished Cenotaph will support all standard gametypes. Expect the map to be out some time next week.

    Here is a link to the map in its beta stages, with no spawns, weapons, or objectives. There also is some frame rate lag when looking from base to base, but I will fix that before I release the completed version (I think the majority of the lag is caused by z-fighting, which I have not fixed yet).

    Hmm, I can't tell a lot about gameplay/map layout from the screenshots, but the map does appear to have a fairly unique and interesting look. Nice job from what I can tell.

    I agree with ducky.. I can't really tell what will happen with this map because due to the asethetics there's a hell of a lot going on texture wise. What are you like in terms of budget/objects? Would it be possible for you to switch out certain clashing textures for matching ones?

    I can see where you mean it feels similar to Epitaph as there are a lot of heightened catwalks. Are there any large vantage places with more movement up top or are all catwalks slim?

    Is there a prize for best use of tunnel, braces? This map reminds me of something that came straight from Halo: CE. Gameplay wise, it's anyone's guess but I do hope this map succeeds.

    The layout is the standard two spawns with a middle base and two side bases. I wanted to take the top off to get an overview of the map, but that would require deleting most of the map as almost all the walls are at 45 degree angles.


    I have about $1000 budget still, but I have run out of every standard piece other than buildings and rocks. As for clashing textures, I could try so switch them out, but I would only be able to use the same amount of pieces I currently use. What specific areas do you think clash the worst? I will just upload the map to my file share and post a link in the OP for anyone who wants to explore it.
