How did I know you were going to do something like this? lol. I should have known thats what you were doing in forge the other day. Looks great, definitely chose the right map to transfer over to Reach. Is this a preview or a release?
Is there going to be a gametype that supports Gears-styled play? Like higher gravity, possible slightly faster, or even slower, walking speed, and perhaps giving everyone the evasion AA? I feel like these would need to be addressed if you wanted the best results. And perhaps raise some of the aisles, walls, etc ever so slightly, at your discretion of course, so that people could crouch behind them and use them as effective cover like in Gears. Also, one little gripe I have is that the blocks near the counter area (where the mulcher spawns in the beta) are made of destructible newspapers and end up gettin demolished rather quickly. I'm not familiar with Reach's forge pallet anymore but if there's some type of destructible scenery akin to Halo 3's pallets I'd say replace the blocks with little stacks of those for an even more accurate remake. Otherwise, this looks like a hell of a remake and I'd love to help test it.
I have a gametype made up already, but I want to test it before throwing it on my fileshare. You can use most of the cover like in Gears, just have to use the crouch. Most destructible cover, such as couches, I have left out because I really struggled with pieces in this remake. Those were pretty important pieces so I left them there, regardless of permanence. There isn't really anything destructible in Forge World sadly. Thanks for checking it out.
