I don't really recall. It's an Oxymoron of sorts. I think I just wanted an Oxymoron and after half an hour of trying different ones I finally came up with 'HopefulRUIN' I <3 it. If I remember correctly 'HopefulRuin' was taken but I like GT's looking as 'clean' a possible and would never resort to using something like 'xH0pFulLRUiNx' or whatever. I hate when gamertags are like that.
It was taken from my name here, which was derived from the first two things I saw on my desk (Prototype game, duck tape). But irritatingly enough, someone had Prototape, so I had to replace the e with a 3.
My older rother was my mentor and his gamertag was Cobra in halo ce in halo 2 he was Viper and in halo 3 he was ONIZACHU ICHI, so i took COBRA531858 then my account got hacked so I tooked KING COBRA 53
My first gamertag was CG000VZ, a little something my dad came up with as code for my name. But I joined the ESC (Elemental Shadow Clan), and yes, the GTs there are really that ridiculous. Including ShadowShocckxX, ShadowVenoomxX, and ShadowFreezzexX, we had twelve members in all, but it ended, and everyone but me and ShadowFlammexX changed their gamertags. I hope to change it to Feral Flamingo soon, but am currantly out of MP, and out of cash.

Noir being French for Black and Tatsu being Japanese for Dragon I came up with Noirtatsu meaning Black Dragon. I did think about Noirryu. since Ryu also means Dragon in Japanese but honestly Noirtatsu just looks and sounds cooler lol
My 'game name' has always been Echo but that was obviously taken when I joined Xbox Live. This was the suggestion that Microsoft gave me and I liked it at the time because it was unique and didn't have extraneous 'X's or numbers or 'V's. BrokenEye is just a sort of brand I made up for myself. Originally it was the emblem of a fictional character I came up with, and then ultimately scrapped. The character has been lost in the mists of time, but his emblem, the Broken Eye (usually spelled without the space) now means me. The emblem has evolved a bit over the years, but I use the name BrokenEye as my username everywhere on the internet. Eventually I'm going to turn it into an actual brand, when I start my own graphic design firm.
