Sanctum Created by TitanC005 Recommended Gametypes: Team Slayer, Stockpile, King of the Hill Recommended Players: 6-8 I have returned to bring you yet another fine piece of work from the community. This time, I will be featuring the Epitaph-inspired map "Sanctum", made by Forge Hub's own TitanC005. The initial feel of the map is well defined by the smooth architecture and simple layout. Players will easily navigate the map, even when first stepping foot on it. The inner chamber houses the gravity hammer, a weapon sought out by any member of the party, while the outer walkways offer safer and quicker routes for traversing the map. While the map may have been released some time ago, its gameplay remains fresh and entertaining. Sanctum presents itself as a well balanced and solid build. One might even feel as if they are on a remake of a familiar arena because it comes off as a real map. Intelligent object management keep the map looking great while keeping the frame-rate just where you want it to be. Download the map, load up Team Slayer, and let the chaos ensue. Oh, and it has a tree in it. Download Sanctum You can view the original map thread by the author here. Want to see a map featured? Let us know here.
Lol @ tree. But congratulations Titan on the wonderful map, definitely feature worthy my fair friend! Looking forward to your newer creations!
What is this I don't even... No, silly, there isn't a tree in my map. There's a map on my tree! But seriously, thanks for the feature. You guys are awesome.
Congratulations Titan; this is well deserved, even though I missed it when it was originally posted. I played a game on it since it's been featured, and it just works so well. Keep it up!
Have played some very close and intense customs on this map. Love it, it's very serious and accurate forging.
decent map, needs some more aesthetics and maybe a juicy colorblind or something its a bit boring looking at the same stuff again and again
Map looks pretty gray, geometry/aesthetics don't flow well together, poor use of pieces that will hinder frame rate... I could go on about why this isn't an excellent map. Really, this is a feature?
I respect your opinion, but I have a hard time doing so because it's very easy to tell you haven't actually played the map. Your judging frame rate from screenshots is a dead giveaway. If you had played the map, you'd know there are very few, if any framerate issues at all. I encourage you get a game or two on this map and then get back to me with your criticisms, which I'll be very glad to listen to.
Forgeworld pieces are gray, and there is no frame rate issues at all for me... I could go on about why that's your opinion on why it's not an excellent map. If you don't like this feature, wait for the next one.
Does this comment have something to do with that map you submitted to FHF and nominated for a feature that was also named Sanctum, but didn't get a feature? I'm just wondering, but it's completely fine to have a different opinion on the map. Has anyone else noticed that there hasn't been a single feature in an entire week? I've seen plenty of contenders, but I'm not sure why this is. Big update? No maps that they can find that are good enough to be featured? Lazy journalists? Eh, who knows.
I've only seen one decent contender, which I'm assuming will be featured once the journalists finish testing to see if it's worthy of a feature (Which they will quickly find that it is.)
There hasn't been any features because of the Contest. They announced the winners and each map counts for a feature. So there are your featured maps, even if they don't have a respected thread in here yet.
I can understand not having a feature for that week because of the contest, but to say that all 3 are features and therefore no more maps will be featured for 3 weeks is kinda lame. Weren't they doing FH favorites and featuring maps around the same time before?
