Wow, I actually could have fixed my own spawns, but whatever. Those arc things look a bit out of place too, maybe it's just the picture? Can't wait to test again.
Yeah, I didn't notice until recently but this is a really big map and could probably play larger, 6v6 ish, maybe more, games. I was thrilled when longshot mentioned it, BTB is uncommon ground for me but this came across as a 4v4 map to me, but turned out to be much, much larger. Although it still works for 3v3, just fairly slow paced. And I invited you to play it like 3 times today, but you were in campaign- I assume trying to get the weekly challenge- most of the time. Lol, it was just an attempt, they probably won't work as I didn't do much other than extend the spawn zone in the plasma pistol room out further, as that seem to be the issue. I don't know though, I guess. The arcs... I thought they seemed pretty cool, actually D: But meh, we can mess with them to get the how we like. We have a very small amount of breathing room so we may place a few objects or so without too much of an issue, plus thinning out the map more is still very much possible. Yeah I was in the middle of some hardcore campaign. Inv me anytime and most likely I'll join unless I'm very busy.
Well, when I actually got to play this, it was really fun. The whole map was very well built and everything part seemed to be used, very balanced. The only thing I didn't use much are the lifts surprisingly, I really liked those. As for BTB, I would love to play that, just inv me sometime.
I really enjoyed this one, but the subtle frame rate issues are still a nuisance. Have you tried throwing together a rough version of the map in a different location to see if it eliminates the issue? Even lifting it out of the water a bit might be good enough, but who knows?
Wow no way I actually started to remake that map too... Oh well, great minds think alike, eh? I'll play on the trial version, this is seriously one of my favorite Gears of War maps.
Lol, yeah. We're working on spawns, framerate, ect. But it's working fairly well. We know the problem with the spawns, we have the weapons the way we want them (basically the best remake of the weapon set on the actual Jacinto) and I think I fixed most of the FPS problems with mah arcs Like I said above, I think I fixed most, if not all, by thinning out more and adding the arcs/los blockers between top and bottom. I'm actually remotely glad that the lifts are a little unused- plays more like Gears. I think it's good that they're a last resort kinda thing. And sadly, we have yet to get a BTB game yet, but hopefully it goes well when we can. I wanna play some KotH and CTF also, so hopefully we can get to work on that, too. Yeah I know We'll be testing this again soon, as we took a bit of a break cuz we all branched off into our own maps again, but you'll get to test this quite a bit I presume. looks very pretty, nice forged and the mapgeometry etc. looks good for a nice match^^ could you do an overview picture or sth? it's difficult to understand some parts of the map... which corner is which in the other pic and so on^^ basically: really cool map, want this to be finished
