This is my first invasion post on forge hub and i put my imagination through it's paces. Now, an invasion map should have nice a back story. The year is 2565, since the Great Schism of the Covenant in 2552. 10 years ago the Covenants new leaders, the Prophets of Ascendancy, Truth and Virtue, retreated through a heavily defended forerunner portal guarded by over a dozen weapons platforms, believed to be of Precursor origins. The destination of the portal is unknown; all allied fleets within 1.853 light-years of the gateway have been subsequently destroyed. Now, with the discovery of a database on the precursors and their technology by the UNSC forces on halo installation 01, the covenant have returned after 10 years of self imposed banishment in a far corner of the galaxy and they’re stronger and smarter than ever before. You must defend the data core until the information can be transmitted to an ONI prowler in geo-sync orbit above the installation. here is the first phase, just go in and capture. Since someone is bound to say it, I'll be the first...you should probably change the name of the map because it may lead people to believe it is a remake of Heretic from Halo 3.
The cave base design is ingenious, it looks incredibly heavy and appropriate but also so simple. Would you mind if I used it?
i don't mind, i spent two weeks trying out different ideas for bases. i wanted something that was simple and cheap yet had a simple layout.
