Arnhem Created by chrisFREER & SynysterAndy A small group of spartans must use the weapons at their disposal, ingenuity and tactics to overcome a superior, armoured force! There are two sides to this map, spanned by a suspension bridge. The Red armour must roll straight through blue's lines and deliver a bomb to their comm link! However Blue isn't unarmed, they have heavy weapons, a gate that must be lowered and defensive positions! Each side has a building with multiple windows for a sniper! An overview of the bridge from Blue's side A red sniper on the roof of the hotel watches the blue's banks! The Tank advance...halted by the gates! Someones going to have to open them before the tanks are ripped to pieces! Opening the gate! Lob a grenade through htis hatch and it'll soon lower The rest you'll have to discover for yourself! Blue will struggle, as was intended, but with good teamwork you'll stop their armour in its tracks! This started off as a suspension bridge that I built, snowballed from there! I named it after Arnhem where a small group of British paras in WW2 held the bridge for several days against German armour before having to pull back. As with all my maps any and all constructive crticism is welcomed! If you're finding the map is too unbalanced let me know how and why and I'll sort it
It looks brilliant- you have piled attention to detail on to the bridge- will download and try to get a custom going tonight! How many tanks does red team have to get accross the bridge?
Hi, this looks like a really well-made map. I love the bridge, and the aesthetics on the buildings (satellite dish ftw!). I've downloaded, but I haven't yet played this map yet and I was just wondering if there is a custom gametype of Assault needed, or just the default.
Last time I checked (it took me multiple saves as Reach was being a pain about the file) there were two scorpions, a standard hog and two mongeese (is that the correct plural?). This is the first competitive map I've created so I may have missed little things so please let me know (especially if they're big ones)! I haven't got space for a custom gametype on my fileshare anymore, however it should be good for the standard assault!
This is the best map out of the four you just posted, I love everything about it. Just a tip for your signature: you can shorten the links to make it just the name of the map. Example: [*url=this is where you put the actual link.com]Name of map[/*url] Act like the * are not there, I put those in so the site would not mistake it for an actual link.
That bridge is super sexy. The attention to detail is really impressive. You wouldn't happen to have made a gate that lets the tanks in would you? If so, that is really awesome and clever. This looks like an insane map to play on. Also, I'm not sure about this, but you might want to change your thumbnail image to a non-edited version. Edited thumbnail images are not allowed, might wanna check on that..Anyways great map and welcome to Forgehub.
This is a brilliant map from the pictures...the bridge looks very nice the map has a nice call of duty feel to it...and the map looks like its invasion at first and in a way I believe you made an invasion map with out using the gametype...very nice aesthetics...the only thing is that I still want to know what happens when they enter the base...for all I know it could be a huge bomb that kills everyone...:/

EightBall - The gate shown quite happily fits a tank! anime halo - Unfortunately I ran out of pieces and money, so it is just a large expolosion at the point you plant. Most maps I create start out as aesthetic and I see where it leads me, doesn't always work out though.
Awesome looking map. love the idea of it and the bridge and satalite looks awesome. The only things im worried about is the fact that its a small map and the tank could be a bit overpowering (maybe). And is there another way across besides the bridge? because i dont wanna be gunned down everytime i try to cross without having another way around. Maybe you can throw in a canon man or something. Map rating: 8.5/10
