    Bunker Buster 3

Please note: The "3" in the name is for the 3rd remakes of my Bunker Buster map, originally starting on Foundry in Halo 3.

    Overview(s):

Bunker Buster 3 is a one-flag Capture The Flag map, with a basic layout: Attackers have a base, and Defenders have a bigger base. The Attackers get jealous of that shiny cool flag the Defenders have, and they want it. Badly. Really, really badly. And that's where you come in! (And just to think, this all could have been avoided if the Defenders weren't so selfish and shared their shiny flag with the neighbors)

The Defenders spawn in their base, which is partially underground. They can grab a DMR and an extra grenade from the nearby shelf or table and shoot away at the Attackers through there ultra-safe super cool bunker windows...

Or, travel to the balcony of their base and rip the Attackers to shreds with the turrets.

In the middle of the bunker under a ramp, a table holds a precious Shotgun with no extra clips. There are 2 ramps and a crawlspace that lead up to the middle, where the almighty flag spawns. Behind the flag is a pillar, behind the pillar is the crawlspace. In the crawlspace, there is a table where an extra grenade, some Assault rifle ammo, and a sniper with no extra clips. The crawlspace can be accessed by jumping up to it from the bottem, or going down the ramp behind the pillar.

The base can be entered through 3 ways...
    The Entrance:

    The Vent:

    Or The Cave:

Attackers spawn in their not-so-secret hideout a little bit in front of the bunker.
Inside, there is a table that has nifty little weapons and eqiupment that spawn to help the Attackers achieve their goal of Global Domination... *Ahem* Taking the flag. On the table, 2 DMRs spawn at start, and a little Magnum for the poor soul who wasn't quick enough to grab one. After a couple seconds, a grenade launcher spawns. Soon after, an evade armor ability spawns.

Off to the side there is a crate, where a sniper with no extra clips spawns behind it.

And now.... What everyone was scrolling down those boring pictures for...
Action Shots!!! (Be warned, there aren't that many. :p)

The turret on the ground helps counter the two on the balcony.

Note that the balcony has... limited, cover.

    "Protect the flag!"

Thanks for viewing my map. I must say, for my first post, I think this thread is up to standards, amirite? :D

nice...it looks like you learned and adapted from halo 3...or at least Im guessing...the map is small but could work for flag...the aesthetics are very nice with both bases and the cover you used for the center...Im worried about the bases though...it looks as though there is only one entrance...am I wrong?

There's 3 entrances, there's a vent that leads to the balcony, the main ramp leads straight to the flag, and a cave that leads to the inside of the base.

There seems to be a lot of creativity in this map, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for CTF, seeing as it seems pretty small. Also, using lights causes major framerate lag. You might want to reconsider using too many lights on the map. If there is no framerate lag with the lights, which does happen, that's good. One last thing, turrets will probably not be used at all, seeing as it makes you a sitting duck in most cases. Try using your budget for something else, such as more aesthetics. Your choice, my opinion. Overall, nice looking map. Oh, and welcome to Forgehub.

The lights did not cause much lag for a full game of 4v4. Keep in mind the map is not designed for full 4v4, as it is designed for smaller games, such as 2v2. The included gametype (Storm
The Base) attempts to balance the original
Capture The Flag variant, such as a very slow shield recharge to stop camping and various loadouts with balances. During playtesting, the turrets were used much more then the bunkers, due to the high ground advantage and firepower. With skilled turrets, the Defenders could completely dominate the Attackers. But, I took your opinion into consideration, and updated with a little bit extra aesthetics.
