    History

This map has been redone on countless occasions. I originally made this layout in 2004 on a game called “Cube”. I re made it in the next version of the game called Sauerbraten a bunch and it became this : http://quadropolis.us/node/589
When I got Halo 3 originally I made a pretty bad remake of the map, but my friend Backwards Logic liked the layout some what, and decided to make his own version of the layout. His version of the map was called Promenade. It can be found here http://www.forgehub.com/forum/competitive-maps/14917-promenade.html

So I then decided to once and for all make the layout more similar to the Sauerbraten version, but keep it less narrow and incorporate some of the Halo 3 versions features. I called it Odejoy after Beethoven's piece Ode to Joy. I just called it Odejoy, because you couldn't have any spaces in the name, so I made it just one word.

    Summary

This is a good asymmetrical slayer map, that can also work on team slayer as well. I recommend using DMR starts. It works well for roughly 4 to 12 players.

    Weapons

The Rockets Are in the Middle

The Laser is on the Top of the Tower

The Shotgun is in the Little Room Attached to the Bridge

The Sniper is on the Raised Platform Perpendicular to the Man Cannon.

The Focus Rifle is Directly Across From the Sniper Rifle, On the Other Side Of the Map

Sword is in The Rocky Room With the Red Light In It

    Conclusion

Well I hope you guys enjoy this map, I've spent a lot of time working on it and trying to perfect it. Tell me what you think, and hopefully you'll play it more then once.

Looks like a fun map! Remeber you can always get your map tested by the testers guild to get a quick preview of what your map will be viewed like before you publish it. This helps to get rid of any flaws that might occur on your map.

Wow, that's cool, I never heard of the testers guild. I think it's a bit too late for that now, but I'll definitely keep that in mind if I ever make any future creations. That sounds really neat though.

Sorry I didn't think of using action shots, I have played it with friends before thuogh. It seems a little too late now as well though, I could just edit the post but then I'd have to watch a video, find interesting angles of battle, put it into my file share, save the photo off bungie.net, then put it on photobucket, then put new links up. I'd do this originally, but after I already made the effort to post these pics up I'm not as compelled to. This map is a good free for all slayer map, and you should test it out with a few friends; I think maps are often times critized too much based on just screenshots.

Thanks alot for the kind words and critiques, I hope you try this map with 4 to 12 friends on slayer and enjoy it! It may take more then one round to really get the feel of it though.

This is a fun map for free for all haven't played team slayer on it yet. The layout is pretty much balance with the different heights of the map and what not I actually enjoy playing on it myself.

I checked this map out too, its very cool asteticly but some of the weapons feel like there out of place, such as the spartan laser, but other than that i found it quite fun keep up the forgin.
